Myriam writes: "I was born and raised in the gospel. At 22 years of age I turned away from the church even though God did not keep me very far away. At 37 years of age I returned to the feet of my Master. After attending the church for more than five years I experienced an encounter with the Lord that made me born again. It was not until then that my whole life changed radically. My mother was and continues to be an intercessor for Jehovah, who has been a great example for me in intercession and how to persevere in the Lord."

When What God Asks of You Does Not Make Sense ...
The author felt a prompting from the Holy Spirit to stop wearing pants, even though it didn't make sense to her. As she began wearing skirts and embracing her femininity, she noticed changes in how people treated her and in her own attitude towards men. She realized that society's push for gender equality had drowned out her innate desire to be a delicate and pampered woman. This reminded her of Eve in the garden and the offer of "more." She encourages others to trust God even when His requests don't make sense.
A Tribute to Virtuous Women
As I celebrate my grandmother’s 94th birthday, I honor her legacy of faith, obedience, and unconditional devotion to God and her family. Amid sacrifices, trials, and her husband’s abandonment, she remained faithful, raised her four children, and trusted that God would work all things for good. She forgave my grandfather and his new partner, welcomed them with mercy, and prayed for their salvation; in doing so, she shaped my image of a forgiving God and drew me closer to my heavenly Father. Her conduct, counsel, and prayers impacted her community and future generations. Even in old age and weakness, she continues to sing hymns of faith and victory.
We Cannot Be Indifferent
We cannot remain on the sidelines when others suffer. Edom’s indifference during the attack against Israel made it complicit in the injustice, and its passivity concealed pride. This message confronted me for having distanced myself from people who needed help. Even when distance separates us, we are called to help our neighbor, intervene in the face of abuse, and not remain silent in the face of gossip or harm. Failing to act when we are able to do so amounts to supporting those who cause harm. We must abandon neutrality and ask forgiveness for the times we failed to stand by our brothers, sisters, and family members. Another person’s need can become an opportunity for reconciliation, love, and mercy.
What Gift Did You Receive?
As I was taking my son to school, we both asked God for truly grateful hearts and eyes to recognize His works. After praying, I came to understand deeply that my son was a precious gift whom God had entrusted specifically to our family. That trust also carried the responsibility to raise him, care for him, and guide him. God gives gifts to each of us. Instead of comparing what we have received with what others have, let us focus our attention on our own gift, cherish it, devote our full effort to it, and give thanks for it from the depths of our hearts.
