The Weeping Savior: a Sober Call to Our Hearts

Isaiah 66:10 • Luke 19:37
Be glad for Jerusalem and rejoice over her, all who love her. Rejoice greatly with her, all who mourn over her. - Isaiah 66:10
And as He approached the descent from the Mount of Olives, the whole multitude of disciples began to praise God joyfully in a loud voice for all the miracles they had seen. - Luke 19:37
Our Lord, even amidst triumphant shouts, wept not for Jerusalem's earthly plight, but because the city tragically missed the "things that make for peace" and the very "time of its visitation"—His presence offering grace. This, dear friends, is a poignant call for us to open our hearts, lest we too, chasing fleeting comforts, neglect the true peace of His spiritual kingdom and miss the precious moment of His knocking.
