Obedience, Intercession, and Confidence in God

SUMMARY: The story of Israel leaving Egypt teaches us three truths that can help us have a victorious life over the evil one. First, obedience to the word of God is key. Second, intercessory prayer is necessary. And third, we can have confidence in the word of God. When we live a life of obedience to the Lord, it unleashes the miraculous power of God to set people free from slavery so they can serve Him. Obedience is important because God wants not just us to serve Him, but He wants all our companions to serve Him too. The enemy, Satan, and an entire army of demons keep people in bondage in different kinds of spiritual distractions. The work we're called to do is not easy, but if we are faithful and obey, God will bring deliverance to people. The first sign of victory over the evil one is when people start asking us to pray for them.

The speaker discusses the three weapons we have against the evil one: a faithful life of obedience, intercessory prayer, and full confidence in the powerful hand of God. He uses the story of Moses and the Israelites' exodus from Egypt as an example of how God can defeat the enemy. He encourages listeners to pray for those who are under the influence of the evil one and to have faith in the power of God to bring deliverance. He ends with a prayer for those who may be feeling oppressed by the enemy and an invitation to surrender to Jesus Christ.

It’s a joy for me to be with you again today and it’s a wonderful opportunity that God gives us to worship him. Today I feel led to speak to you about spiritual arms or weapons that every believer has in his reach in order to do battle in the spirit.

The story of Israel leaving Egypt is a story that we can study in many different ways. But in the life of Moses I see 3 truths in particular that I’d like to emphasize today. The first truth that we observe in the life of Moses is obedience to the word of God. The second truth that we observe in the life of Moses is the power of a life or intercession. And the third truth that I learn from the life of Moses is the confidence that the believer can have in the word of God.
