Effective prayer moves the heart of God

Thank God for his infinite mercy that he continues to extend to his people and for communicating to his prophets many of the things he plans to do. In this case he communicates his plan to Moses and Moses out of his love for God wanting to prevent God's name from being put to shame among the enemy nations intercedes for the people, verse 12 says why should the Egyptians speak, saying: For evil do I bring them out, to kill them on the mountains, and to wipe them off the face of the earth?
