The church and the people of Israel

Fumio Taku
(Audio: Spanish, English) ->Original

SUMMARY: The preacher, Fumio Taku, shares his testimony of coming to Christ as a Japanese man and his love for Israel. He leads an organization called Christians and Jews United for Israel and believes in the biblical and national land for the Jewish people. He teaches on the relationship between Christians and Jews, emphasizing the importance of understanding our Jewish roots and God's covenant with the people of Israel. He references Exodus 24, John 14, 2 Corinthians 3, and Jeremiah 31 to illustrate this point.

The prophet Jeremiah prophesied that God would make a new covenant with the people of Israel and write His law on their hearts. The prophet Ezekiel also prophesied that God would give the people of Israel a new heart and put His Spirit within them. These promises were fulfilled through Jesus Christ, and Gentiles were included in God's plan of salvation. The restoration of the people of Israel is also a part of God's plan, and the Gentile church is called to pray for and support them. The prophecies in Zechariah predict that the nations will come against Israel, but God will pour out His Spirit on the people of Israel, and they will look upon Jesus, whom they have pierced. God's promises never fail, and His love will never leave us.

The speaker believes that God will not abandon Israel and that as Christians, we should support the Jewish people despite their mistakes and the complexity of the situation with the Palestinians. They encourage studying the Scriptures to understand why Israel is important and ask for God's blessing on Israel and for their redemption.

Our preacher this morning is born in Japan, originally coming to the United States at the age of 13. His name is Fumio Taku and he has been a shepherd. He is also a business administrator, graduated from Yale University. He has a master's degree in business administration. He has lived in Israel for several years where he directed an Israeli Company and also assisted and helped in a messianic congregation there in Jerusalem and in Israel. He is a man who loves Israel very much. He is also president of an organization called Christians and Jews united in favor of Jerusalem. It is a joy to have Pastor Fumio with us. Say everyone, welcome Fumio.

Good morning everyone. My friends and my brothers. It's good to be here today. As Pastor Miranda has mentioned, I was born in Japan and raised in a typical Japanese family. I never heard the word God mentioned ever in my family. We are a very secular family, and it had absolutely nothing to do with Christianity. It had nothing to do with the Jews. It had nothing to do with Latinos either. But here I am, all because of the miracles of God. God truly reigns in our lives, doesn't he? And he directs our steps.
