The willingness to be a humble servant of the heavenly Father

In John 17:7-10, Jesus tells a parable about a servant who has no rights and is completely subject to the will of his master. The word used for servant in Greek is "doulos" which means slave. Jesus is inviting us to understand that we are like slaves to God, completely surrendered and subject to His will. When we have this disposition, many things become possible and our dignity paradoxically depends on being humble servants of God. This is essential for a fruitful, powerful, and lasting ministry that pleases the Father. Read more...

Comments:

Enrique Meneses Muñoz : I want to be a grateful servant of GOD at every moment.
Enrique, it is beautiful that you have the desire to be a grateful servant of God in every moment. Your comment reminds me of a part of Dr. Roberto Miranda's devotional where he mentions: "Does he thank the servant because he did what he was commanded? I think not." (Luke 17:9). As servants of God, we must remember that everything we do is by His will and we must be grateful for the opportunity to serve Him. May God bless you and continue to guide you in your desire to be a humble and grateful servant.
Francisco Diaz S.: We have to decide, we have two options; Either we are slaves of God or we are slaves of the devil.- For my part, I have decided to be a servant of God, a Christian by conviction, because whoever receives the Son, receives the Father.
Francisco, your comment reflects a very brave and wise decision. As Dr. Roberto Miranda mentioned in his devotional, we must recognize that we are servants of God and that He has complete right over our lives. Your decision to be a servant of God and follow Christ is a choice that brings blessing and eternal life, since as the Scripture says: "he who receives the Son receives the Father" (Luke 17:10). May God guide and strengthen you on your path as a faithful servant. Blessings!
Sabino Marroquín López.: I am a humble Servant of God, I leave all my worries and needs in His hands, so that God can do His Holy will in me, amen.
Sabino, it is beautiful to see your humility and trust in God as you hand over all your worries and needs to Him. As Dr. Roberto Miranda mentions in his devotional, we must recognize that God has complete right over our lives and that our posture as humble servants is essential for a fruitful life and to please the heavenly Father. By trusting God and allowing Him to do His holy will in you, you will be opening the doors for His power and grace to manifest in your life. May God bless you and strengthen you on your path as a humble servant. Amen!
