And the Spirit of the LORD will come upon thee, and thou shalt prophesy with them, and shalt be turned into another man.
(1 Samuel 10:6)But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
(Acts 1:8) The presence of the Holy Spirit in a person will always be accompanied by signs
In 1 Samuel 10, Samuel tells Saul that when he meets a company of prophets, the Spirit of the Lord will come upon him with power and he will be changed into another man. This is similar to the baptism of the Holy Spirit in the Book of Acts, where the disciples receive the Holy Spirit with power at Pentecost. The Holy Spirit within us is a presence, but when it is activated with power, it becomes transformative and dynamic. The baptism of the Holy Spirit should be accompanied by signs and manifestations, such as praise, joy, strength, and victory. Prophesying means speaking under the power and anointing of the Holy Spirit, and can take many forms such as praise, preaching, and exhortation. When a person receives the baptism of the Holy Spirit, they should give expression to that visitation through adoration, praise, and affirmation of faith.
