The presence of the Holy Spirit in a person will always be accompanied by signs

SUMMARY:
In 1 Samuel 10, Samuel tells Saul that when he meets a company of prophets, the Spirit of the Lord will come upon him with power and he will be changed into another man. This is similar to the baptism of the Holy Spirit in the Book of Acts, where the disciples receive the Holy Spirit with power at Pentecost. The Holy Spirit within us is a presence, but when it is activated with power, it becomes transformative and dynamic. The baptism of the Holy Spirit should be accompanied by signs and manifestations, such as praise, joy, strength, and victory. Prophesying means speaking under the power and anointing of the Holy Spirit, and can take many forms such as praise, preaching, and exhortation. When a person receives the baptism of the Holy Spirit, they should give expression to that visitation through adoration, praise, and affirmation of faith. After his encounter with this company of prophets who are worshiping the Lord with a multiplicity of instruments, Samuel says the following to Saul: "Then the Spirit of the Lord will come upon you with power, and you will prophesy with them" that is with this company of prophets, "and you will be changed into another man."
It is interesting that in that passage, we see as a nucleus, an essence of what precisely the baptism of the Holy Spirit is as we see it described later in the Book of Acts. Samuel tells him that when Saul meets these men "the Spirit of the Lord will come upon him in power."
