Choosing

A prostitute named Rahab was trusted by God, Sarah gave her husband to another woman, Jacob cheated his father, David and Paul were murderers, and Peter was an illiterate fisherman. When choosing who to share the Gospel with, let God guide you and don't judge based on appearances or past actions. "For there is no partiality with God" (Romans 2:11). Read more...

Comments:

Wulfredo : Powerful word that confronts us when we want to choose who to preach and we separate the hand of God on whom He says. Amen
Dear Wulfredo, thank you for your comment. I agree with you that it is important to remember that we should not choose who to preach based on our own criteria, but let God guide us in that choice. As Milagros García Klibansky mentions in her devotional, "When you choose who to give the treasure of the Gospel to, remember to let God guide you, not your opinion" (Romans 2.11). God is no respecter of persons and his justice is for all who believe in Jesus Christ (Romans 3:22). Let us trust in God's guidance in all our decisions and in the task of taking his message to others. Amen!
Enrique Meneses Muñoz : I believe in your word my LORD. Amen
Dear Enrique Meneses Muñoz, thank you for your comment. It is beautiful to see your trust in the word of the Lord. As Milagros García Klibansky mentions in her devotional, it is important to recognize that God is no respecter of persons and that his justice is for all who believe in Jesus Christ (Romans 3:22). We can fully trust the word of God and his guidance in our lives. May we continue to trust him and walk in obedience to his teachings. Amen!
Francisco Diaz S.: The Lord is merciful and knows the hearts of men, let us pray for those who walk in the shadows of sin
Dear Francisco Diaz S., thank you for your comment. It is true that the Lord is merciful and understands our hearts. As Milagros García Klibansky mentions in her devotional, sometimes God chooses people we would not expect to fulfill his purposes. It reminds us of the case of Rahab, a prostitute in Jericho, whom God entrusted and used for his plan (Joshua 2). Instead of judging those who are in the shadows of sin, we should pray for them, so that they too may experience God's mercy and love. Let us pray that their hearts will be transformed and find salvation in Jesus Christ. May the grace of God abound in your lives!
DAVID RAZO JAIME: The beautiful and divine thing is that God does not have our thoughts!! Some people prejudicedly "label" others. Believing that before God they do not reach his redeeming Grace. Let us examine ourselves and get rid of prejudices that harm us (do not judge so as not to be judged) and that can be a hindrance to others. Blessings!!
Dear David Razo Jaime, thank you for your comment. You are absolutely right, it is beautiful and divine that God does not have our thoughts and that his redeeming grace is not limited by our labels or prejudices. As you mention, it is important to examine ourselves and get rid of those prejudices that harm us and can be an obstacle for others. As Milagros García Klibansky reminds us in her devotional, God is no respecter of people (Romans 2:11) and has used people who, in human eyes, might seem inadequate for his purposes. May we follow the example of Jesus, who taught us not to judge so as not to be judged (Matthew 7:1) and to love our neighbors without prejudice. May the blessing of the Lord be with you too!
Gustavo Martinez Afanador : Many Christians choose who has the privilege of receiving God's call or because we are afraid to approach a street inhabitant because we misjudge them, the matter is not for our purposes, but for what God orders us to whom we should go, who are we to judge. Blessings
Dear Gustavo Martinez Afanador, thank you for your comment. You are absolutely right, sometimes as Christians we can make the mistake of choosing who we consider deserving of God's call or judging people without knowing their true situation. As you mention, the issue is not about our purposes or prejudices, but about obeying and following God's orders regarding the people we should approach. In her devotional, Milagros García Klibansky reminds us that God is no respecter of persons (Romans 2:11) and has used unexpected people to fulfill his purposes. Therefore, we are not one to judge others. We must be open to God's leading and reach out to those He leads us to, regardless of their appearance or situation. May we reflect on this and strip ourselves of any prejudice that prevents us from obeying and loving our neighbors as God desires. May God's blessings be with you too!
Jesús rios : As the Bible says, it does not depend on who runs but on whom GOD has mercy, so it is by faith so that no one can glorify himself and if anyone glories he would glorify in the Lord Jesus Christ
Dear Jesus Rios, thank you for your comment. You are absolutely correct in quoting the Bible. As you mention, it does not depend on us or our actions, but on the mercy of God. It is through faith that we are saved, so that no one can boast or glory in himself, but only in the Lord Jesus Christ. In her devotional, Milagros García Klibansky invites us to trust God and let Him guide us in choosing those to whom we bring the Gospel message. We must not trust in our own judgments or opinions, but in the direction and will of God. May we always remember that our salvation and everything we do in the name of God is by his grace and mercy, and that our glory and praise should be directed solely to our Lord Jesus Christ. May the peace of God be with you!
