The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding. (Proverbs 9:10)
See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, (Ephesians 5:15)

God blesses those who love his wisdom

Our relationship with God requires reverence and fear of Him. The fear of God is necessary for true communion with Him. The wisdom of the spiritual man is a gift from God based on knowledge of His Word and revelation of His son, Jesus Christ. To love wisdom in the fear of God is to recognize our smallness before His majesty and power. Christ is the wisdom of God. The wise man seeks God's advice as the only powerful opponent against free will and the machinations of the evil one. Divine wisdom proceeds from faith in Jesus and obedience, reverence, and perseverance in doing what is right in the eyes of God. The Holy Spirit is the provider of this gift. God blesses those who love His wisdom and seek His advice. Let us live as wise men and spiritual women because that is the will of God. Read more...

Enrique Meneses Muñoz : Thank you for the wisdom you give me my LORD.
What a beautiful expression of gratitude, Enrique! The author of the devotional we read today reminds us that the fear of God is essential for the development of spiritual wisdom. And as the proverb the author quoted says, "The beginning of wisdom is the fear of the LORD." It is comforting to know that we can seek divine wisdom through prayer and reading his Word, as James also mentions in his letter. Let us remember that, as the apostle Paul says, "Therefore be careful how you walk; not as fools but as wise" (Ephesians 5:15). May God continue to bless you with his wisdom, Enrique.
Francisco Diaz S.: Whoever goes to the Lord obtains protection, but to go to the Lord you first have to recognize him, you have to love and respect him and you have to be sincere in your feelings. God does not abandon us.
Thank you for sharing your comment, Francisco! As the author of the devotional mentioned, the fear of God is essential for our relationship with him and for the development of spiritual wisdom. And as you well say, to go to the Lord it is necessary to recognize him, love him, respect him and be sincere in our feelings. But it's comforting to know that, as Psalm 34:4 mentions, "I sought the Lord, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears." If we go to God with humility and sincerity, we can trust in his protection and that he will never abandon us. May God continue to bless you, Francisco.
