God blesses those who love his wisdom
Faustino de Jesús Zamora VargasOur relationship with God goes hand in hand with awe of him. The fear of God is as critical as it is necessary. Without fear of God there seems to be no true communion with our creator. The wisdom of the spiritual man is a gift of the Almighty based on the knowledge of his Word and the revelation of his son Jesus Christ. The beginning of the wisdom of the natural man (without God) begins when man affirms that all part of the knowledge of oneself to face life discarding the knowledge of God. To love wisdom in the fear of God is to recognize our littleness before his majesty and power and to enthrone it definitively in the heart. Why? Because Christ is the wisdom of God. “God has united you with Christ Jesus. God made him to be wisdom itself for our benefit… ”(1 Cor 1.30 NLT)
To know God is not to know literally his attributes, but to persevere in reverent fear because he is our Father and we owe him the respect of children who, on many occasions, go astray, dismissing his Word and doing our own will. Reverence is unconditional obedience while we build. every day a communion with him until we become one with him. James says that anyone who wants to obtain wisdom can request it from the Father and he will provide it (James 1.5).
The wise man seeks God's advice because he knows that this is the only powerful opponent against free will and the machinations of the evil one. In the attempt to model life according to the mind and will of God, the spiritual man who loves the wisdom and counsel of God begins to look more like Christ every day considering what is earthly in the eternal perspective. Divine wisdom proceeds from faith in Jesus, begins and ends in it; It is a supernatural gift that is sustained in obedience, reverence, and perseverance in doing what is right in the eyes of God. The Holy Spirit is the provider of that supernatural gift and the good news is that you and I have it.
God blesses the one who loves his wisdom and seeks his advice first. The church of Christ must multiply its prayers for God to raise up and train mentors and counselors filled with the Holy Spirit to attend church in times of crisis and “birth pains”, not forgetting that God in his Word urges us to seek his wisdom to know him more and better and to consume us the joy of a spiritual life depending on his advice. Paul said to the Ephesians: “… and I ask God, the glorious Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, to give them spiritual wisdom and insight, so that they may grow in the knowledge of God” (Eph 1.17)
I am sure that you, as well as I, have had the privilege of personally meeting fools who became wise through the folly of preaching and understanding the mystery of the wisdom of God, Jesus Christ, the incarnation of the all-filling and is in everything. Let us live as wise men and spiritual women (Eph 5.15) because that is the will of God.
God bless your Word
