SUMMARY: The title "Peace in the Storm" represents the peace that comes from Christ even in the midst of trials and difficulties. Storms are inevitable, but they reveal God's character and impart valuable teachings to us. The gospel is one of peace because it is announced in the name of the Prince of Peace, Jesus Christ. However, unbridled religiosity and prosperity gospel teachings can pervert our minds and take away the peace we have in Christ. It is important to trust in God's justice and His great power and love to find perfect peace in Christ.

What does this title remind you of? A past affliction, the moment of a trial, or that peace you felt inside that you could barely comprehend when everything seemed to crumble at your feet? How many lives have been ministered with this beautiful praise! But the world cannot understand it, because it is crazy, because it makes no sense that we have been touched by adversity, the loss of something or someone we love, and yet feel peace, a peace that brings calm, comfort, hope. Christ is our hope and the divine deposit of a peace that only those of us who have been reached by his love can enjoy. His love reveals his peace, and this makes us "immerse ourselves in the river of his Spirit" to find the stillness of the soul against all inner battle.

Storms are inevitable, they are almost a requirement for us to one day be recorded in the Book of Life, they are the deserts that we will be prepared to cross if we wear the whole armor of God. It is in the storm where God reveals his character to us, speaks to us of his holiness, and imparts his most unforgettable and tender teachings to us. It is where the trial becomes an expression of spiritual wealth that comes to us as a gift from His hands to alleviate suffering and where, in addition, we have access to peace in Christ.

The God we worship and love is called the God of peace (Rom. 16:20). His gospel is of peace because it is announced in the name of the Prince of Peace, who is our Lord Jesus Christ (Acts 10:36), that is why we believers must seek peace and the Shalom of God, a spiritual condition that not only means have rest and harmony with oneself and with others, but rather, navigate in the calm, safe and prosperous waters that spring from the rock of our salvation, of the incomparable Christ.

Today unbridled religiosity tries to present us with a prosperity gospel. New prophets and apostles rise up to try to eat our brains with sloppy and despicable messages to pervert our minds, confuse us, and take away the peace we have in Christ. It is a reality that we cannot underestimate. The Lord did not promise us prosperity at all costs, rather he warned us that there would be affliction in the world and that his disciples would also be exposed to such a condition. But it is his victory on the cross that gives us hope and gives us peace because he conquered this world and because peace is in him, not in us, but in him. That is why storms vanish when we seek his peace, the peace He left us, which is nothing like other kinds of peace.

Brothers and sisters, Christ is our peace, the wall against which all sorrow and feelings of sorrow are broken. He is with us also in this condition that we cannot explain. Remember that He overcame the world. If we want and long for peace, let us trust God and his justice. His great power and incomparable love will be our hope, our strength. We can never avoid tribulations and storms, but with God on our side we will have the perfect peace that is Christ. Remain in Him and He will make new strength spring up within you. Put your eyes, your mind and your trust in Christ and He will immerse you in the refreshing river of his peace!

God bless you!
