Make the anointing yours
Dr. Roberto Miranda(Audio: Spanish)
SUMMARY:
In this meditation, the speaker discusses the importance of seeking the anointing of the Holy Spirit in our lives and as a congregation. He uses the example of the rebuilding of the temple in the Book of Zechariah, where God tells the people that it will not be done with an army or force, but with His Spirit. The speaker emphasizes the need for daily renewal and cultivation of the anointing, and warns against falling into a routine and neglecting the active presence of God in our lives. He also highlights the power of prophetic declaration and confession of God's truth, and the potential for great things to happen when a group of believers is filled with the Holy Spirit. The currency of the Christian economy is power, and the speaker encourages listeners to actively seek and fan the power of the Holy Spirit within us.
In this sermon, the pastor talks about the importance of cultivating the Power of the Holy Spirit in our lives as Christians. He shares a personal story of how a prophetess spoke a prophetic word over him, calling him to the ministry, and how he had to take action and move in faith to activate the anointing and power of God in his life. The pastor emphasizes that power is the currency of the Christian life and encourages believers to claim and activate the spiritual blessings that God has already given us. He also reminds us that it's okay to feel weak and inadequate, but that the Spirit of God within us empowers us to do great things.
The anointing of the Holy Spirit is essential for effective ministry and should be sought after daily. Jesus himself depended on the Holy Spirit during his ministry, and the disciples were instructed to wait for the Holy Spirit before going out to evangelize. The apostles also made sure that every believer they encountered received the baptism of the Holy Spirit. However, over time, the urgency for every Christian to be filled with the Holy Spirit has been lost in the Church. Therefore, it is important to renew our commitment to seeking the anointing of the Holy Spirit in our lives every day.
The speaker encourages the congregation to continuously seek the filling of the Holy Spirit and not just have a one-time experience. They invite people to come forward and pray for the anointing of the Holy Spirit and to prophesy and declare the virtues of God. The speaker emphasizes the importance of being filled with the Holy Spirit and encourages people to seek it every day. The congregation is urged to cry out to the Lord and adore Him freely, and to not worry about who is around them. The speaker declares that the Holy Spirit is present and moving among them.I want to invite you to go to, there are so many texts that we could use, but one of them is found in the Book of Zechariah chapter 4 verse 6 and it is such a well-known passage, one verse only that I want to use as a starting point for my meditation, Zechariah 4:6 where it says: "Then he answered and spoke to me saying" that is, the Spirit of God speaking, saying: "this is the word of Jehovah to Zerubbabel" Zerubbabel was one of the leaders of the nation of Israel, "who says: no with army, nor with force, but with my Spirit, says the Lord of Hosts."
“And who are you, oh great mountain? before Zerubbabel you will be reduced to plain, he will remove the first stone with acclamations of: grace, grace to her.” Not with an army or with force, say with me: not with an army or with force but with My Spirit, the Lord has said, and that is what it is about, this is the third meditation that I want to bring to you on the filling of the Holy Spirit, seeking the Power and the anointing of the Holy Spirit, and as I have told you for myself and for you, I want to go back to review those fundamental truths of the Christian life that we are a people that depends not on our own strength, not on our cunning, not of our economic capacity nor of the number of people we have but of the Power of the Holy Spirit, the Power and the anointing of God.
