Dr. Roberto Miranda(Audio: Spanish)
SUMMARY:
The speaker shares from Mark 5:21-34 about the woman with the issue of blood who overcame obstacles to touch Jesus' cloak and receive healing. He also references the story of Zacchaeus who climbed a tree to see Jesus. The speaker emphasizes the importance of being a desperate and daring person who overcomes obstacles and stays focused on their goals. He also encourages simplicity and humility in sharing the Gospel.
The pastor talks about how God honors hardworking people who overcome obstacles, especially the obstacle of boredom and routine. He uses the examples of Plunder, the woman with the issue of blood, and Bartimaeus to illustrate how God sees and rewards those who are willing to put in effort and overcome obstacles to reach Him. He also emphasizes the importance of discipline in the Christian life, such as giving to the Lord and coming to church regularly, even if it doesn't always feel good. The pastor encourages listeners to have faith and be willing to pay the price for what they want, even if they don't fully understand who Jesus is or what God's plan for their lives is.
This passage from the Bible tells the story of a woman who had been bleeding for twelve years and believed that if she could just touch the hem of Jesus' cloak, she would be healed. Despite the law and societal expectations, she approached Jesus and touched His cloak, instantly feeling her blood stop and shuddering with the power of Christ. This woman had faith and was willing to pay the price to achieve her goal. She affected the heart of God and changed His agenda to bless her. The Lord dignified her and showed His generous and merciful nature. This story teaches us the importance of having strong goals and faith, and being willing to pay the price to achieve them. We can affect the heart of God with our prayers and faith, and we should live every day with the intention of getting closer to our goals in Him.
The speaker wants a woman who has been living anonymously for twelve years to confess to him and not slip back into her old life. He believes that confession can lead to healing and he wants to bless her. He encourages the audience to have faith and believe that their efforts can affect the heart of God. He reminds them that God doesn't care about their background or education, but rather their heart and willingness to achieve their goals in the Name of the Lord. The speaker ends with thanking and blessing God.I want to invite you to turn to the Book of Mark chapter 5 beginning with verse 21. I am going to be totally flowing in the Spirit this morning and I am going to let God lead me, and I chose a meditation that I think is going to be a blessing to you and It's here about the woman who touched Jesus' cloak, and it reminded me of this passage for this morning specifically because this woman, the woman with the issue of blood, is a woman who overcame obstacles, we are here overcoming a series of obstacles; snow, cold, the mind and emotions that betray us at times but we are here, and we have had to overcome an obstacle, God blesses that, God blesses a people that overcomes obstacles as he blessed this woman through her ability to overcome obstacles .
You know the story. It says here in verse 22: "One of the leaders of the synagogue named Jairus came and as soon as he saw Jesus he fell at his feet saying: my daughter is dying, come and lay your hands on her so that she may be saved and she will live." ."
