An irresistible presence

Brandt Gillespie
(Audio: English)

SUMMARY: The speaker reflects on the potential and weaknesses of Saul in the Bible and how it relates to human potential and fragility. The anointing of God can transform people into different beings, but external influences can shape individuals in different ways. The speaker emphasizes the importance of creating an environment where the anointing and spirit of prophesy is present, which can transform individuals. The speaker also touches on the twisted relationship between Saul and his daughter Michal in 1 Samuel 19.

In this sermon, the speaker discusses the power and presence of God and how it can transform lives. He uses the example of Saul sending his men to capture David, but every time they encounter a group of people prophesying, they come under the anointing of God's spirit and start prophesying themselves. Eventually, Saul himself encounters the spirit of God and prophesies. The speaker believes that this kind of anointing and presence is possible today and can bring about transformation in people's lives. He emphasizes the importance of a community of people who will cooperate with the spirit of God to keep his presence and power available. He also shares a personal story from his wife's childhood about seeing God's power at work in her church.

The speaker shares their experience of seeing the power of God work in their lives and the lives of others. They believe that God can do the impossible and encourage the audience to become a community of people available to God. The speaker then leads a prayer for the Holy Spirit to come and anoints those who want to receive a greater flow of the Spirit in their lives. They emphasize the importance of taking steps of faith and believing in the gifts of the Spirit.

We just quiver in response to the fact that you, the holy God ….., would invite us into union and communion with ….. Lord is a miracle that we are completely undeserving, we are completely unable to find anything ….. us, but for your blood, but for your grace, but for you coming and doing what you do when you transcend earth and heaven, space and time.

Lord it’s what we long for and what we are experiencing and we say, Lord, we are grateful. We say we are grateful. Lord, it’s your presence that we long for, that we earn for, it’s your glory that makes life bearable. Lord, it’s when you come and visit us and we experience you and you take and make alive all the deadness God, that otherwise is ruling, we see it ruling in the planet in so many ways. But God when we come into your presence we are just made alive. We just say, thank you Lord. Thank you, Lord. Thank you, Lord.
