And one of the multitude answered and said, Master, I have brought unto thee my son, which hath a dumb spirit;(Marcus 9:17)
And wheresoever he taketh him, he teareth him: and he foameth, and gnasheth with his teeth, and pineth away: and I spake to thy disciples that they should cast him out; and they could not.(Marcus 9:18)
He answereth him, and saith, O faithless generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him unto me.(Marcus 9:19)

En Marcos 9, Jesús encuentra a sus discípulos lidiando con un demonio que no pudieron expulsar. A pesar de haber sido autorizados por Jesús para hacerlo, estaban impotentes. Jesús confronta a la multitud incrédula y a los escribas, que representan el mundo incrédulo que critica a la iglesia. La palabra de Dios nos permite ver esta escena para aprender de ella. El poder de Dios fluye a través de un filtro llamado la fe, y si ese filtro no está limpio, ese poder no se transferirá a nuestras vidas y a nuestra realidad. La llave para el flujo del poder de Dios es la fe. El Señor diagnostica a la generación como incrédula, lo que obstaculiza el flujo del poder de Dios.
