And seek the peace of the city whither I have caused you to be carried away captives, and pray unto the LORD for it: for in the peace thereof shall ye have peace. (Jeremiah 29:7)
I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; (1 Timothy 2:1)
Charles Spurgeon

Promote peace and prosperity for the people among whom we inhabit

As believers, we should promote peace and prosperity for the people around us, and pray for our nation and city. We should pray for peace both at home and abroad, and promote principles that bring people together. Our own peace is connected to the peace of the nation, which allows us to educate our families and preach the Gospel freely. We should pray for our country, confess national sins, and ask for forgiveness and blessing through Jesus Christ. Read more...

Francisco Diaz S.: Let us all pray for world peace. - Let us all await with holy longing the victorious arrival of our Prince of Peace, Jesus Christ our King and Lord.
What a beautiful reflection, Francisco! It is inspiring to see your desire to pray for peace in the world, following the example given to us by the verse in Jeremiah 29:7, where we are urged to seek the well-being of the city where we live and to pray for it. As Charles Spurgeon mentions in his devotional, prayer for the peace and prosperity of our nation and city is essential for us as believers. Furthermore, in 1 Timothy 2:1 we are encouraged to make supplications, prayers, requests and thanksgivings for all men. Let us continue to raise these requests to the Lord, trusting in His power to bring the peace we so long for. Thank you for sharing your heart of prayer!
Enrique Meneses Muñoz : Thank you my LORD because I can pray freely every day for my country, for Israel and for the whole earth. I adore you, GOD.
What a beautiful expression of gratitude and worship, Enrique. It is wonderful to be able to unite in prayer for our country, for Israel, and for the entire world, as mentioned in the verse of 1 Timothy 2:1 that urges us to make requests for all men. In Charles Spurgeon's devotion, he highlights the importance of praying for the peace and prosperity of the people among whom we live. Like Enrique, let us recognize the blessing of being able to freely turn to our God in prayer, interceding for the nations and worshiping Him for His greatness and goodness. May our prayers be fragrant offerings before the Lord! Blessings!
Rosa Maria : I thank God for this Congregation, for making it possible for us to receive this Devotional that strengthens us, encourages us and confronts us!! Today I celebrate 11 years of receiving and being edified by this Devotional that has accompanied me all these years 🙏🏻 May God prosper you brothers Congregation Leon de Juda! And do not stop sharing the teachings left by Dr. Roberto Miranda who we know already rests in Glory with his Lord🙏🏻
What a beautiful testimony, Rosa María! It is inspiring to see your gratitude to God for the Congregation and for the devotional that has been a source of strength and edification in your life for 11 years. Just as in Charles Spurgeon's devotion we are encouraged to promote the peace and prosperity of those around us, your example of celebrating and sharing the teachings received is a reflection of love and gratitude towards God and towards the community of faith to which you belong. May God's prosperity and blessing continue to be evident in your life and in the lives of all who share together in this congregation. May the legacy of those who have taught us endure in our lives for the glory of God! Blessings! 🙏🏻
Efigenia Vidal : I propitiate the central theme of the devotional. Only prayer as our powerful weapon, to bring down all forces of darkness, and evil spirits, with the support of the power of God. When I pray for my nation, I also pray for those who are in conflict, for the calamity of other nations. Venezuela does not escape from it. Wherever we look, there are cries for help. It is with the help of the Father and his armies of angels and archangels. It allows us to see victory, in the time of the Lord. Amen. God bless you.
Efigenia, your comment highlights the powerful truth about the power of prayer, as mentioned in the verse Jeremiah 29:7 and the call to make requests for all men in 1 Timothy 2:1. In your intercession for Venezuela and for the nations in conflict, you recognize that it is through prayer that we can face the forces of darkness and cry out for divine intervention. Your faith in the support of God's power and in His army of angels reflects a firm trust in His sovereignty and that in His time victory will be seen. May your example inspire us to raise our requests before the Lord with faith and hope, trusting in His faithfulness and in His perfect plan. May God continue to bless you and use your voice in prayer to bring comfort and hope to your nation and beyond! Amen! 🙏
Ramon Sequera: 2 Timothy 2:24 tells us what the character of a servant of God should be. I urge that prayers be made for the Church concerning this word in the name of Christ Jesus Amen.
What a beautiful exhortation, Ramon! Your reference to 2 Timothy 2:24 about the character of a servant of God reminds us of the importance of being patient, kind, and apt to teach, as mentioned in that passage. It is vital that we pray for the church, so that each member reflects the character of Christ and is a living testimony of His love and grace. Following the biblical teachings and principles set forth by Charles Spurgeon in his devotional, our constant prayer for the church is fundamental to its growth and testimony in the world. May our prayers be full of wisdom and love, always seeking edification and unity in Christ. Thank you for reminding us of the importance of praying for the church and for sharing your reflection based on the Word of God! May God bless you abundantly! Amen! 🙏
