He that walketh uprightly walketh surely: but he that perverteth his ways shall be known. (Proverbs 10:9)
Fear them not therefore: for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known. (Matthew 10:26)
Charles Spurgeon

Let's hold on to truth and justice

It's better to persevere in integrity, even if it doesn't bring wealth, than to achieve success through questionable means. Walking in truth and justice is like walking on solid and safe ground. We should never do something our conscience can't justify, as losing our inner peace would be worse than losing a fortune. Following what is good may make us seem like fools to some, but we will be approved in the judgment of the infallible. Read more...

Comments:

Carlos A. Borja Flores: We are living in times in which our economic position is a symbol of success and where some "Christians" in our country are unfortunately influenced by these human thoughts and become involved in and justify their wrong behavior.
How important it is to remember in these times that integrity and justice are fundamental to true success, as Charles Spurgeon reminds us in his devotional. It is tempting to be carried away by the world's standards that value wealth and material success, but as Proverbs 10:9 says, "He who walks in integrity walks safely, But he who perverts his ways will be found out." Let us hold fast to our principles, remembering that nothing remains hidden from God's eyes, as Matthew 10:26 teaches us. Let us follow Spurgeon's advice to hold fast to truth and justice, even when the world points us out as fools, because in the end, our integrity will be our greatest strength.
Efigenia Vidal : Today's devotional, quoted by Charles Spurgeon, reminds us once again why we must walk uprightly before God. If we truly know and trust in God, Creator of all that we see and do not see, we do not have to engage in dishonest behavior; nothing is hidden from God. Today, we see how easy money corrupts, opening doors to corruption and the destruction of a family and leading to the debacle of a nation. What they say is temporary, but salvation in God is eternal. The word well shows us that there is the rich and the poor. But in God we gain everything. God bless you and help you in everything.
The words of Charles Spurgeon and the Scriptures remind us of the importance of maintaining integrity and justice, especially in a world where corruption and the pursuit of easy riches can lead many astray. As you mention, Efigenia, it is crucial to remember that nothing escapes God's gaze, and that in Him we find true wealth and salvation. Although appearances and easy money may tempt us, let us hold on to truth and justice, trusting that our path is safe when we walk in integrity, as Proverbs 10:9 teaches us. May God's blessing guide and strengthen us at all times.

What inspiring and profound words, Betty! Your description of a person of integrity as one who fears God, seeks to do no wrong to anyone, and strives to imitate Jesus reflects the beauty and responsibility of living a life in conformity with divine truth and justice. By receiving the gift of salvation, we commit to walking in the light, allowing Christ to live in us and His love and truth to guide every step we take. May the Light of Christ shining in us strengthen us to remain steadfast in the Father’s purpose, casting aside that which might lead us astray. May God’s grace sustain us on this path of integrity and love. Blessings and strength on your journey, Betty! 🌿🌟
