Thy kingdom come

When Jesus says "Your kingdom come" in the Lord's Prayer, He is asking for the values of God's kingdom to establish themselves in the world, replacing the fallen world's values of sin and evil. This means a new era, a radical change in human existence, a new creation. Our constant burning desire should be for God's system to be established on earth forever, dismantling the empire of evil. One day, God will put an end to the tragedy of history and we will have a new heaven and a new earth. Until then, we must pray for God's kingdom to come. Read more...
