Adan Rivera : that God is good
Hello Adam! Thank you for sharing your thinking. It is wonderful to recognize the goodness of God. As Charles Spurgeon mentions in his devotional, God's faithfulness is reflected in His covenant and in the signs He gives us, like the rainbow in the clouds. In Genesis 9:13 we see how God established His covenant with the earth, showing His faithfulness and love for His creation. May we always remember the goodness of God, even in the midst of difficult circumstances. May the peace of God always be with you!
Carlos A. Borja Flores: The rainbow is a sign of the covenant that God made with Noah, that "there will be no more flood water to destroy every living thing" (Genesis 9:11-17). That is why he prepared the coming of the Messiah, to teach the way of salvation to a humanity that separates itself from God. Right now we are living in times like in the times of Noah, even though the Word of God is taught, people turn a deaf ear. We, as the Lord's Church, must not give up in giving the message of salvation.
Hi Carlos! Thanks for sharing your reflections. It is shocking to see how the rainbow, which is a sign of God's covenant with Noah, reminds us of His promise not to destroy the earth with a flood again. As you mention, in Genesis 9:11-17 we clearly see this promise of God. Furthermore, your comparison with the times of Noah is very accurate, since we live in a world that often rejects the Word of God. As you mention, it is important that as a Church we continue to share the message of salvation, remembering that God is faithful in keeping His promises. May we be bearers of hope in the midst of a world that needs it so much. Blessings on your work!
