Jabes' prayer in 1 Chronicles 4:10 asks God to protect him from evil, which is a reality in the life of a believer. Spiritual warfare is necessary to protect ourselves and our loved ones from the enemy's attacks, and we must learn to do it through prayer and putting on the whole armor of God. Jabes asks God to contradict and neutralize the negative nature that his name implies in his life, and God grants his request. We have the right to ask for the same requests and receive a positive response if we are walking under the approval of God through Jesus Christ.
