And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God. (Zechariah 13:9)
That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: (1 Peter 1:7)
Charles Spurgeon

Fireproof

Grace transforms us into precious metal but it requires us to go through fire and furnace which is a necessary process. We should not choose to be considered unworthy and rest like stones, but rather welcome the refining process. The Lord values us as silver and removes our dross. We should pray to suppress our alloy rather than be removed from the crucible. We should trust in the Lord's process of purification. Read more...

Enrique Meneses Muñoz : Thank you for supporting me in the trials that I experience daily my LORD.
Dear Enrique Meneses Muñoz, thank you for your comment. It is comforting to know that the Lord sustains us in the trials we face daily. As Charles Spurgeon mentions in his devotional, the fire of the furnace is part of the refining process that God uses to purify us and transform us into something precious. In Zechariah 13:9, we are assured that God will refine us as silver is refined and test us as gold is tested. Although fire can be painful, it is important to remember that this process leads us to the fullness of our faith. In 1 Peter 1:7, we are told that the testing of our faith results in praise, glory, and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ. Trust that the Lord is working in you through the trials, and that in the end you will be considered precious in His eyes. May the Lord strengthen you and guide you in your walk with Him. Blessings!

Dear Yeni Lauren Velandia, thank you for your comment. It is true, God's love is incomparable and his will is perfect. As Charles Spurgeon mentions in his devotional, the process of testing and refining is part of God's love and mercy toward us. He shapes and purifies us so that we can reflect His glory. Through His Word, we are fed and comforted, remembering that in the midst of trials, the Lord is with us and has a redemptive purpose in every situation. May the word of God continue to be a source of nourishment and comfort for you. May His love and mercy guide you always! Blessings!
Francisco Diaz S.: Let us not settle for a plate of lentils that satisfies us today and tomorrow we will be hungry, let us sacrifice our worldly appetites and seek the greatness of the Lord that will fully fill us forever.- Blessed and praised be my Lord
Amen, Francisco Díaz S. What a beautiful comment! As you mention, we should not settle for the temporary and ephemeral satisfactions that the world offers us. Instead, we must sacrifice our worldly appetites and seek the greatness of the Lord, who will fill us fully and forever. It is in His presence and in His will that we find true satisfaction and fulfillment. As Psalm 107:9 says, "He satisfies the needy soul, and fills the hungry soul with good." May you continue to seek the Lord with all your heart and may He fill you abundantly with His love and grace. Blessings!
