We often avoid praying publicly for fear of failure or looking bad to others, but this robs our prayers of power. By verbally expressing our requests in a public way, we establish a spiritual commitment that adds weight to our prayers and unleashes the power of God. While there are times when intimate requests should be kept private, generally, sharing our spiritual goals and requests with others is a declaration of war on the principalities that seek to overwhelm us and a strong declaration of confidence in God's faithfulness. By declaring our visions and requests to those around us, we receive divine support and bring the answer we need.
