And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD; (Isaiah 11:2)
Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. (John 16:13)

All the truth

The truth is like a vast cavern that requires a guide to navigate. The Holy Spirit is the guide assigned to true believers, leading them from one inner chamber to another to behold the deepest things of God. We need guidance to avoid biases and maintain balance, and the Spirit of God has come to guide us into all truth. We should listen to His words and follow His guidance with obedient hearts. Enrique Meneses Muñoz : Thank you for your Holy Spirit who guides me to all truth LORD.
Thanks for your comment, Enrique! It is wonderful to have the Holy Spirit as our guide into all truth. As Charles Spurgeon mentions in his devotional, “The Holy Spirit, who knows all truth perfectly, is the appointed guide to all true believers” (Spurgeon). He helps us enter the vast cavern of truth and understand the deepest things of God. In the book of Isaiah 11:2, we are told that "the Spirit of the LORD will rest on Him, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and power, the Spirit of knowledge and the fear of the LORD." This verse shows us that the Holy Spirit is our divine guide, empowering us with wisdom and revealing truth to us. And in John 16:13, Jesus assures us that when the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide us into all truth. This means that we will not be alone in our desire to know and enter into the truth of God. The Holy Spirit will reveal to us what we need to know and help us understand what is to come. So, Enrique, let us continue to open our hearts to the guidance of the Holy Spirit and follow his teachings. He will lead us to a deeper understanding of God's truth. May God bless you abundantly in your search for truth.
Carlos A. Borja Flores: Much teaching in this reflection by Father Spuergeon: If we call ourselves Christians, why do we continue doing things against the will of God? What are we doing with the Holy Spirit given to us by grace? We must be aware of our own propensity to err; and, feel the urgent need for the guidance of the Holy Spirit and joyfully accept His leadership, as a guide for us.
Thanks for your reflection, Carlos! You are absolutely right, as Christians we sometimes find ourselves doing things that go against God's will. But as Charles Spurgeon mentions in his devotional, we must be aware of our propensity to err and feel the urgent need for the guidance of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit has been given to us by grace as a divine guide in our daily lives. As Spurgeon says, "The Spirit of God has come to guide us into all truth" (Spurgeon). It is important that we recognize our need for His leadership and joyfully accept His leading in our lives. Let us remember that the Holy Spirit is our assigned guide as true believers. He leads us according to our ability, taking us from one inner chamber to another, that we may contemplate the deepest things of God (Spurgeon). We are not to despise or ignore His guidance, but seek it and follow it with obedient hearts. So, Carlos, let us continue to seek the guidance of the Holy Spirit in our lives. Let us seek to be in tune with His direction and allow Him to help us live according to God's will. May our pursuit of His leadership lead us to a life closer to God and a deeper understanding of His truth. May God bless you in your walk with the Holy Spirit!
Francisco Diaz S.: Let us pray: Spirit of God comfort us.-Spirit of God help us.-Spirit of Guide us.-Spirit of God give us wisdom.-Spirit of God grant us glory.- Let us avoid being worldly let us be spiritual
Thank you for your beautiful prayer, Francisco. It is wonderful to express our longing to be guided by the Spirit of God in all areas of our lives. As you mention, we must seek the guidance of the Holy Spirit and ask him to comfort us, help us, guide us, give us wisdom and help us achieve the glory of God. In his devotional, Charles Spurgeon reminds us of the importance of not being willfully ignorant of any part of revelation, lest we miss out on blessings or incur sin. We must long to be spiritual rather than worldly, and that means seeking the guidance of the Holy Spirit in everything we do. May this prayer be a constant reminder of our dependence on the Spirit of God and our desire to live in accordance with His will. Let us pray that the Holy Spirit will guide us and enable us to live spiritual lives, holy and pleasing to God. May His wisdom and guidance be with us always! May God bless you abundantly on your spiritual path.
