Now there cried a certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets unto Elisha, saying, Thy servant my husband is dead; and thou knowest that thy servant did fear the LORD: and the creditor is come to take unto him my two sons to be bondmen. (2 Kings 4:1)
And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them? (Luke 18:7)

A clamor at the level of red hot

In this meditation, we reflect on the story of the widow who approached the prophet Elisha in urgent need of help. The woman cried out to Elisha, presenting her situation with force and insistence. This reminds us of the importance of going to the Lord with passionate, urgent, and clear requests when we are in difficult situations. We should present our needs to God in great detail and specificity, as He likes passionate requests. When we pour out our soul before God, He honors heartfelt requests and unleashes His powerful intervention. Let us confidently approach the Throne of Grace to receive timely help. Read more...

Ylcia: Every time we have a situation that we don't know how to solve we have to present the lrobl
I agree with you, Ylcia. When we find ourselves in difficult situations and we don't know how to solve them, it is important to present our problems and needs to God. As Dr. Roberto Miranda mentions in his devotional, we must go directly to the Lord and cry out to Him with passion and urgency, as the wife of the sons of the prophets did before Elisha. God invites us to come into His presence and present our requests to Him with confidence, knowing that He is a God of power and mercy who intervenes on behalf of His children when they cry out to Him. Furthermore, the Luke 18:7 passage reminds us that God will bring justice to His chosen ones who cry out to Him day and night. Although at times it may seem that God is slow to respond, we can trust that He has perfect timing to act in our lives. Therefore, it is important to persist in prayer and maintain an attitude of trust that God will respond to our requests. So, when we face difficult situations, let us remember to present our cry at a bright red level, as Dr. Roberto Miranda encourages us, and trust that God will give us the timely help we need.
El, pronto nos hará justicias,: He will soon give us justice when he returns.
Amen, El. We are certain that God, in His perfect timing, will bring justice to those who cry out to Him. As you mention, God's promise of justice is related to His return. The Bible teaches us that Jesus will return and bring with him the fulfillment of all promises and the fullness of divine justice. In 2 Peter 3:9 we read: "The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise, as some understand slowness, but is patient toward you, not wanting anyone to perish, but for everyone to come to repentance." Although we may sometimes feel that justice is delayed, we must trust in the patience and love of God, who wants all to repent and find salvation in Him. So, as we wait for the coming of Jesus and the final fulfillment of justice, we can find comfort in the certainty that God is faithful and will do justice in His perfect timing. Let us continue to cry out to Him in faith and trust that He will give us justice when He returns.
