And Samuel said to Saul, Thou hast done foolishly: thou hast not kept the commandment of the LORD thy God, which he commanded thee: for now would the LORD have established thy kingdom upon Israel for ever. (1 Samuel 13:13)
Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. (1 Corinthians 13:1)

Gifts are important, but they are not everything in the Christian life

The anointing of God in our lives is not a guarantee of perfection, and we must handle it reverently and cautiously. We must balance it with a holy life, obedience, study of the Word, and submission to the Holy Spirit. We should not neglect our ethical conduct, ministry formation, character, and relationships with others under our authority. The gifts of the Holy Spirit are a resource, but they are not everything in the Christian life. We must match and strengthen those gifts with other attributes that are equally necessary. Only a person who walks carefully in all dimensions of the Word of God can have a fruitful ministry of God that brings advancement for His Kingdom. Read more...

Enrique Meneses Muñoz : This word my LORD blesses me greatly.
Hello, Enrique! I am glad that this word from the Lord has blessed you. It is important to remember that God's anointing in our lives is a valuable resource, but it is not everything in the Christian life. As Dr. Roberto Miranda mentions, we must handle it with reverence and caution, balancing the power of God with a holy and obedient life. We cannot neglect our ethical conduct, the growth of our character, and the way we relate to others. As the apostle Paul says in 1 Corinthians 13:1, if we have many gifts but do not have love, we are not being truly effective in the Kingdom of God. Let us continue to seek balance between the gifts and character of Christ in our lives. May the Lord bless you!
Claudia olvera: Good morning, without a doubt the gifts of God are a powerful weapon, but if there is no subjection to Him, we will not be able to live and experience God's purpose in our lives. Thank you for this word
Hi Claudia! You are absolutely right, God's gifts are powerful, but it is essential to have subjection to Him in order to live and fully experience the purpose that God has for our lives. As Dr. Roberto Miranda mentions, we must be careful in how we handle God's anointing in our lives, making sure to balance it with a life of obedience, study of the Word, and subjection to the Holy Spirit. It is through that balance that we will be able to make the most of the gifts God has given us. Thank you for your comment and may the Lord bless you!
Francisco Diaz S.: It is a challenge and it is a daily struggle that we have to face, perfecting our spirit and keeping our soul clean. There will be some who will be more successful than others, that is; those who have more spiritual strength.- Let's try to be better every day, that is our option.
Hello Francisco! I agree with you, spiritual perfection and keeping our soul clean is a constant challenge in our Christian life. Each one faces different struggles and has different levels of spiritual strength, but the important thing is that we all have the willingness to seek to be better every day. As Dr. Roberto Miranda mentions, the Christian life is a continuous progress and growth. As we draw closer to God, seek His guidance, and submit to the work of the Holy Spirit in us, we can achieve greater levels of spiritual strength. Courage in your walk and may the Lord guide you in your quest to be better every day!
Martín Cabezas: How important this study about gifts is, because this way we understand that even if we have them we cannot feel more important than others, we cannot be filled with pride, we have to take care of the anointing and to do so we must have love for our neighbor, this is how we use the gifts. for the benefit of others and the edification of the church and not for our own benefit.
Hello Martin! You are right, it is very important to understand that gifts do not make us more important than others, nor should they be a source of pride. God's anointing in our lives must be cared for and used with love for our neighbors. As Dr. Roberto Miranda mentions, we must balance the gifts with the character of Christ and the fruit of the Holy Spirit in us. When we use gifts for the benefit of others and the edification of the church, we are following God's purpose and honoring His Kingdom. Let us continue to remember that gifts are a valuable resource, but they are not everything in the Christian life. May love and humility always guide us in the use of the gifts that God has given us. Blessings to you!
