And he took a yoke of oxen, and hewed them in pieces, and sent them throughout all the coasts of Israel by the hands of messengers, saying, Whosoever cometh not forth after Saul and after Samuel, so shall it be done unto his oxen. And the fear of the LORD fell on the people, and they came out with one consent. (1 Samuel 11:7)
But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. (Acts 1:8)

When the Holy Spirit gives us supernatural authority

When the Holy Spirit is within us, we are given authority, effectiveness, wisdom, and a supernatural aura that enables us to testify about the Gospel and the claims of Jesus Christ as Lord. This is why it is important for believers to be filled with the Holy Spirit. However, the Presence of the Holy Spirit is not a solver-everything; other additional elements are needed, such as fidelity to the Word of God, holiness, integrity, humility, meekness, the fruit of the Spirit, obedience, a rejection of money and material things, and a total surrender to the interests of the Kingdom of God. We must conduct ourselves with a healthy and sacred fear because the Holy Spirit is powerful and delicate. We cannot neglect other parts of the Christian life and must keep all nutrients of the Kingdom of God in balance to avoid terrible downturns that serve as an obstacle to the movement of God in our lives. Juanxo Bonilla : Thank you very much for those words and study Thank you
You're welcome, Juanxo Bonilla! We are glad that you appreciated the words and study of Dr. Roberto Miranda. His devotional invites us to reflect on the importance of being filled with the Holy Spirit in order to be effective in witnessing to the Gospel. As Dr. Miranda mentions, when the Spirit of God is in us, it enables us to testify of Jesus Christ effectively (devotional, paragraph 1). That is what we see in the verse that you share with us, where Jesus promises the disciples that they will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon them, and they will be his witnesses everywhere (Acts 1:8). Let's keep looking for that supernatural authority of the Holy Spirit and allow it to guide us in every aspect of our life. May God bless you, Juanxo!
Olga Leticia Robayo : I read your devotions every day for a long time and I have never sent a comment. In today's devotional you comment "a rejection of money" I think it should be handled differently, money is part of everyday life, and It must be managed with intelligence and be a good administrator, thank you
Hello Olga Leticia Robayo! We appreciate your comment and your fidelity in reading the devotions of Dr. Roberto Miranda. In today's devotional, Dr. Miranda mentions that, along with the movement of the Holy Spirit, it is also necessary to have fidelity to the Word of God, holiness, integrity, humility, among other aspects (devotional, paragraph 9). It is important to bear in mind that the rejection of money to which he refers does not imply an absolute denial of its use, but rather an attitude of detachment and priority in the interests of the Kingdom of God. As you say, money is part of our daily life and we must manage it wisely and intelligently (devotional, paragraph 9). Maintaining a balance between proper money management and total dedication to God's interests is essential. May God bless you and guide you in all your financial decisions, Olga!
Francisco Diaz S.: Pride and vanity are the evils that cause the most damage to man spiritually and especially when they feel invested with power.- Humility, obedience and true love for God counteract these evils.- Let us live in God and with God.
Hello Francisco Diaz S.! Thanks for your comment. I agree with you that pride and vanity can be detrimental to our spiritual life. As you mention, humility, obedience and genuine love for God are essential to counteract these evils and live in communion with Him (devotional, paragraph 9). Humility helps us recognize that everything we have and are comes from God, and allows us to depend totally on Him. Obedience guides us to submit to God's will and follow His commandments. And true love for God drives us to seek his glory above our own greatness. Let's continue cultivating these values in our daily lives and allow the Holy Spirit to guide us at all times. May we live in God and with God, Francisco! May He help us grow in humility and obedience. Blessings!
