God speaks today Wednesday | August 9, 2023

But take diligent heed to do the commandment and the law, which Moses the servant of the LORD charged you, to love the LORD your God, and to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and to cleave unto him, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul. (Joshua 22:5)
Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. (Ephesians 4:3)

Unity at all costs

A united people are difficult to defeat. The church is governed by values of the Kingdom and Christ, which must be translated into love for God, fidelity to his word and love for one another. In the story of the conquest of the promised land, the qualities of the people that God began to raise up as a chosen nation are inspiration for today's Christian. Good intentions can be overridden by over-emotionalism, as seen in the Israelites who erected an alternate altar without consulting the Lord. Conflicts arise in the church because forgiveness and mercy are lacking, and misunderstandings abound when only gossip is heeded. The Lord Jesus Christ wants a united church, whose members hold high the doctrine of forgiveness and godliness, the practice of fellowship and brotherhood. For the world to believe, we must be united, unanimous in feeling, upright in walking, willing to give the best of each one of us to the Lord of the church. Despite the storms, gossip, misunderstandings, and the fragility of the weak in faith, the Lord wants the unity of his people at all costs. Read more...

Dear Nelson Castillo, thank you for your comment and for appreciating the importance of receiving these daily messages. As Faustino de Jesús Zamora Vargas mentions in his devotional, it is essential to love God, follow his ways and serve him with all our hearts and souls (Joshua 22:5). Also, as Christians, we must strive to preserve the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace (Ephesians 4:3). May God provide you generously in all your spiritual areas. Blessings!
Wulfredo : Nothing will be able to separate us from the love of Christ nor pride and arrogance that nullify values, break unity in Christ and separate us from the love of God.
Dear Wulfredo, thank you for your comment. It is true that nothing can separate us from the love of Christ (Romans 8:38-39). As Faustino de Jesús Zamora Vargas mentions, pride and arrogance can nullify values, break unity in Christ and separate us from God's love. It is important to remember the importance of humbling ourselves before God and staying united in love and humility. May the Lord help us to cultivate these values and to preserve unity in Christ. God bless you!
Francisco Diaz S.: Christianity is divided into many sects and theological opinions.- All have the same goal; Seek God, serve God, love God and recognize Christ as our savior.- Let us live as Christ taught us.
Dear Francisco Diaz S., thank you for your comment. It is true that Christianity can be divided into different sects and theological opinions. However, as you mention, we all have the same goal: to seek God, serve God, love God and recognize Christ as our Savior. As Christians, it is important to live according to the teachings of Christ and follow his example. May the Lord help us to live in unity and love, despite our differences, and to focus on what unites us in Christ. May God bless you abundantly!

Rosa María : Good morning, God bless you. Unfortunately this is already happening in the Christian Churches, there is a lot of emotionalism, disobedience, they certainly make false altars and do not follow the order of Christ and this is clearly why they are not born again. Jesus and Nicodemus 3 There was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a chief among the Jews. 2 This man came to Jesus at night and said to him, “Rabbi, we know that you have come from God as a teacher; because no one can do these signs that you do, if God is not with him. 3 Jesus answered and said to him: Verily, verily, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. 4 Nicodemus said to him: How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter his mother's womb a second time and be born? 5 Jesus answered: Truly, truly, I tell you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. 6 What is born of the flesh is flesh; and what is born of the Spirit,[a] spirit is. 7 Do not marvel that I told you: You must be born again. 8 The wind[b] blows from where it wants, and you hear its sound; but you do not know where it comes from, or where it is going; so is everyone who is born of the Spirit. 9 Nicodemus answered and said to him: How can this be done? 10 Jesus answered and said to him: Art thou a teacher of Israel, and know not this? 11 Verily, verily I say to you, that what we know we speak, and what we have seen, we testify; and you do not receive our testimony. 12 If I have told you earthly things, and you do not believe, how will you believe if I tell you heavenly things? 13 No one ascended into heaven, except he who descended from heaven; the Son of Man, who is in heaven. 14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the desert, so it is necessary that the Son of Man be lifted up, 15 so that everyone who believes in him may not perish, but have eternal life. God so loved the world 16 For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, so that everyone who believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through him. 18 He who believes in him is not condemned; but he who does not believe has already been condemned, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation: that light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their works were evil. 20 For everyone who does evil hates the light and does not come to the light, so that his deeds may not be rebuked. 21 But he who practices the truth comes to the light, so that it may be manifest that his works are done in God. Everyone who comes to surrender his heart and fears God and faithfully surrenders to Jesus Christ will know the truth and the truth will set them free. While they will continue lost in the darkness. God is Love, mercy, goodness and mercy 😇. Look for him while he can be found. Amen .
Dear Rosa María, thank you for sharing your reflection and for quoting the biblical passage from John 3:1-21. It is true that the need to be born again and have a transforming relationship with Jesus Christ is fundamental to our spiritual walk. As you mention, it is important that churches focus on following the order of Christ and avoid emotionalism and disobedience. It is also true that those who surrender to Jesus Christ and fear God will experience true freedom and will know the truth. May we all sincerely seek God and trust in his love, mercy, goodness and mercy. May the Lord bless you and keep you always! Amen.
Rosa María : So be it Amen. Glory to the living God and to his blessed name.
Amen, dear Rosa María. Glory to the living God and to his blessed name. May his love and peace be with us always. God bless you abundantly!

José Cruz : We have lost the sense of social order and values, according to the codes of ethics and conscience produced by faith, professed by various religions, whether by rites or traditions and also by the democratic and constitutional life. Nothing is respected anymore. We live in a stage where conflicts are not resolved, we come across foolish attitudes, problems are not heard; HE they deny and leave with answers and statements out of context and lacking in sincerity. Law enforcement is slow and clumsy, often with a bias for expediency; How many crimes are not reported because they are not resolved or justice is applied. in the country not It feels like living in a state of Right. Finally, how many sometimes the law is not applied? Other times the application of the law is selective for the adversaries, is strict, fast and convenient for friends, in addition to impartial condescending, always with the desire to please, to please and to accommodate to the will of the friend. That is not justice. The panorama, for you want have human sensibility, it is gloomy, worrying, under a sky of total insecurity and a rain of blood, in an environment of terrifying and scary. Excessive murders throughout the country, in the city centers, in the towns, on the roads, wherever. Is incredible and unacceptable the number of murdered acquaintances, friends and brothers, every day at every hour and it is not the only calamity, extortion, assaults in the streets and highways, robberies in businesses, homes and vehicles. The request that Solomon makes to God would be conducive to our rulers. Give me, then, an attentive heart to govern your people, and to distinguish between good and bad; for who is capable of governing this numerous people of yours? and said to him: "Because you have asked me for this, and not a long life, nor riches, nor the death of your enemies, but intelligence to know how to hear and govern, I am going to do what you have asked me: * I grant you wisdom and intelligence such as no one has had before you or after you.* 1 Kings 3:9, 11-12 DHH94PC
Dear José Cruz, I appreciate your comment and the quote from the biblical passage of 1 Kings 3:9, 11-12. It is true that we live in times in which the lack of values and social disorder are evident. Many times, justice is not applied adequately and conflicts are not resolved fairly. The insecurity and violence in our societies are worrisome and regrettable. It is valid to yearn and pray for rulers and leaders who have wisdom and intelligence to make just decisions and to distinguish between good and bad. We can seek God's guidance in every aspect of our lives and in our social interactions, trusting that his wisdom can be the light in the midst of the darkness we face. Let us continue to pray for a society in which ethical and moral values are respected, and in which justice and order prevail. May the Lord grant us discernment and wisdom to face the challenges of our time. May God bless you and give you strength in the midst of these circumstances!
