Summary: The disciples return from a missionary trip and share their experiences with Jesus. It is important to have a continuous dialogue with God and to stick close to Jesus in our ministerial life. We should seek strength, vigor, and wisdom from Him before starting any task and return to Him at the end of the day to recharge our spiritual batteries. Our relationship with Christ should be one of total intimacy and dependence, as without Him we can do nothing. We must cultivate this sense of total dependence and adherence to Him in our daily lives.

When the disciples return from a missionary trip to which the Lord has sent them, the apostles met with Jesus and told him everything they had done and what they had taught.

It is important that we see that element that when they have done what the Lord commanded them to do, they have had wonderful experiences, God has performed miracles through them, they have declared the Gospel to the surrounding villages and towns, they have seen demons come out. of demonized people, they have had different very powerful ministerial experiences, they return from those days or weeks perhaps that they spent out there and the first thing they do is return to where Jesus is.

And then he says that they told him everything they had learned, what they had done and then the passage continues. I have always seen something important here and that is that we have to live, interpret and share the life experiences that we have with the Lord Jesus Christ through prayer and through meditation. What gives our life meaning is precisely that continuous dialogue that we have with God.

We have to in our ministerial life, the things that we do always stick to Jesus, be close to Him. They come out of Jesus because the Lord sends them with a commission and training, an endowment of power that He gives them, and a message. that sends them out to preach. But then when they finish they return to Jesus and share with Him so that He interprets what has happened, gives them advice and enriches them in the experience they have had.

How important it is that we live life like this, close to Jesus. When we start the day or when we undertake any ministerial journey, we have to go to Him to receive from Him the training, the power, the grace, the wisdom. If we are going to witness to someone, when we go out to work at the beginning of each day we have to be close to Him, we have to seek from Him strength, vigor, intelligence. We have to have that healthy sense of absolute dependence on the Lord. We have to stick to Him knowing that without Him we can do nothing.

So we emanate from Him, we come out of Him, we begin our journeys coming out of His power but when we finish we have to return to Him and heal ourselves. Many times the ministerial life exhausts us, as a Pastor I go through so many different situations that mark me in my own humanity and suck my energy, and I also need to go to the Father to heal me, to help me interpret the things that I have. lived, give me a sense of healthy dependence on Him.

Many times our tendency is when we have done this or that, it is like perhaps thinking, no, I am the origin of all these things. We have to remember that it is the power of God. And then we have to recharge ourselves spiritually, recharge the spiritual batteries by returning to the Lord Jesus Christ talking with Him at the end of the day, after a day's work, returning to the Lord and asking for strength, vigor, healing, forgiveness, enlightenment, enthusiasm again so that ministerial life does not become something merely routine, we have to stick to Him.

That is why the Lord Jesus Christ says: abide in Me and I in you, and you will bear much fruit. He also says that: because apart from Me you can do nothing. The relationship of the believer to Christ must be the relationship of the fruit to the branch, and of the branch to the stem, and of the stem to the root, and of the root to the earth. There is a thing of intimacy, a relationship of total intimacy. We have to cultivate that sense of total dependence, of total intimacy. Our life has to be lived at that level of focus on Jesus Christ and of total adherence to Him knowing that without Him we can do nothing.

We will have to say at the end of the day: Lord, where will we go if only You have the words of eternal life? May the Lord wish that we live that life like this always, leaving Jesus, remaining in Him, and returning to Him at the end of our days. God bless you, your brother in Christ Pastor Roberto Miranda speaks to you and let's continue with these meditations.
