Rendezvous with god
Faustino de Jesús Zamora VargasGod prepares his appointments with man. When it comes to him, it is a divine appointment. Christmas time is a date with God that is widely accepted and ignored by others. Mr. Frenzy already wants to make his entrance to the party dressed in his rapture and alienation costume, bringing a quiver full of spirits, nougat, walnuts, hazelnuts, grapes and apples. Some look forward to it because Christmas is always an excuse for revelry and abundant tables.
But there are many who will have neither one nor the other. If at least they accepted the appointment with God, he could provide the banquet and the tailored suit for the reunion party. When God quotes, he arranges for the meeting the tailoring of his grace to clothe you with dignity and shed the rags of sin. God is not so interested in your appearance, as in your interior; in what is invisible to human eyes, less to the Father who searches the heart. That's what counts for him: your soul and your spirit. It is in them where he gives the final touch of his immense love so that you fall in love with his presence.
There may be delicacies on the table of your life, but without Jesus sitting at it, there will be no profit. Christmas is therefore an opportunity to look at God through the eyes of Jesus. Therefore, go to his appointment, do not leave him standing while you throw rose petals into the air whispering: - Does he love me? Doesn't he love me? - He loves you! Even if you resist accepting it.
Abraham and Jacob attended the appointment; Isaac and Noah walked to meet him; Esther and José couldn't contain themselves. David wrote poems to get closer to his throne. On the day God summoned him, Isaiah declared to him in visions that he was ready to commit. Matthew followed him unceremoniously, Paul preached him since he heard his voice on the road to Damascus.
And you? What table do you prefer? What date do you like? I invite you to an adventure, sit down with him and listen to him. There is no better place than your lap, no more iridescent light than that radiated by your eyes. The psalmist of Israel said it to him singing: In your presence there is fullness of joy; In your right hand there are delights forever (Psalm 16.11). Happy Holidays!
God bless your word!
