Ask the Lord for wisdom

SUMMARY: Discernment is important in times of trial as it allows us to see things from God's perspective and understand what He is trying to do in our lives. It is important to ask God for wisdom and have faith that He will answer our prayers. Wisdom is essential in all areas of life and God is willing to give it abundantly if we ask with faith and without doubt. So, let's ask the Lord for wisdom to discern His purpose in all areas and moments of our life.

Discernment is important when we are going through trials because divine wisdom, the illumination of the Holy Spirit in our lives, is what allows us to see trials in the light and within God's perspective.

God is using these seemingly terrible and difficult circumstances to produce a benevolent end of Christian perfection, of moral and spiritual improvement, and of leading us more and more to perfectly reflect that character of Jesus Christ.
