My god is salvation
Milagros García KlibanskyThe term 'Salvation' has been used historically by humanity to characterize a state in which one has been freed from a dangerous situation. Generally when we have experienced a disease, regardless of its magnitude, that can go from a simple discomfort to cost us our lives, we thank the doctors who supposedly saved us with their knowledge without stopping to reflect that behind all the pain and joy of recovery, there is a master hand that governs all our life and working in it with purpose.
Looking from the perspective of "Grace", we can say that after exhausting all possible resources and using the prophetic lips of men given to God, our Father decided to personify himself and live among us in order to make a sacrifice, reconcile with Himself. This saving love that has no limits, is the one that allows us to reach the throne of Grace without the need to use intermediaries as in ancient times.
The need to use animals to shed their blood and thus be cleansed from sin was replaced by the blood shed by Christ on the cross. The Holy One, becoming sin so that sinners could restore their relationship with a close God to whom we had remained insensitive. Of course, it is difficult to assimilate this truth, especially because our selfishness would never allow us to make such a great sacrifice, it does not even allow us to value His in the proper way and we do not take care of our Salvation “with fear and trembling” (Phil 2.12 ).
Let's recap on this and wake up each day giving thanks for the undeserved gift that God gave us. (Eph 2.8).
Let us keep the words of Christ in John 6:47 engraved in our minds and in our hearts "Truly I say to you: He who believes in me has eternal life."
Only faith is the key to Salvation, but faith well focused and centered on the object that God gave us to reach Him, our slain lamb, his beloved son, Jesus.
