Sparrows
Milagros García KlibanskyWhen I left the hospital, I was waiting for the bus for a long time. During that time I was dedicated to observing some sparrows that were pecking bread crumbs, there was one delighting with his small portion when suddenly two others attacked him and tried to take his food, although it was so small that it had not been enough for two. The curious thing about this is that a few centimeters away from them there was a complete bread cover that, compared to the size of these animals, was enormous.
Despite this, they despised the abundant portion for taking from another what belonged to him.
Likewise, human beings sometimes act when it is not God who controls our lives. We burn with envy and try to take away their merits, we desire the gifts of others, we are bothered by the small achievements that anyone can have and we find it difficult to recognize the effort of others and sometimes, even the way in which they are used by God. We get diluted in these unhealthy feelings that are not divine attributes and in this smelly bitterness in which we immerse ourselves, we pass by and do not realize the portion that God has for us and I assure you, it is enormous!
There is so much to do that this life is not enough for us to serve God, yet how many Christians who occupy church pews today have not even discovered what their gifts are? And you can be sure, it is not one! God has overdrawn us in terms of endowment, there are many gifts we have, it is only that we do not develop them because we are aware of others without thinking that those are also for our delight and for His glory.
Let us look hard for our endowment and help others to develop theirs, we are not sparrows, we are superior beings created by God in his image and likeness.
