Better to consult than to have to remedy - When God puts a full stop, do not put a question mark

SUMMARY: We often ignore spiritual signs and pursue attractive opportunities that are not in line with God's plans for our lives. The Bible teaches that obedience is better than sacrifice and it is safer to be within God's will. Before making any important decision, we should inquire about God's will and align our actions with His principles. Going against God's will is a recipe for disaster and disobedience can only produce failure. It is wise to humbly orient ourselves towards God's will and strictly obey His Word.

How many times have we been presented with a financial opportunity, a purchase offer, or a romantic opportunity that seemed too promising to reject, despite spiritual signs everywhere telling us, "Get away as soon as possible!" Quite simply, that attractive possibility that seemed to promise so much was not in sync with God's plans for our lives. We stubbornly pursued our decision anyway, simply because it was too attractive to reject, despite clearly understanding that we were proceeding in disobedience. Sooner or later, we remember, the negative consequences were felt, and we had to go to God, battered and ashamed, to rescue us.

Someone has said: "When God puts a full stop, don't put a question mark." God has declared: "Obedience is better than sacrifice." The safest place for the child of God is within his will. The false promises of disobedience do not compare to the assurance of dwelling and moving within divine approval.
