Our God: the Great Rewarder of Earnest Souls

Have you ever paused to ponder the magnificent truth woven through divine revelation? A profound, unbreakable connection exists between sincere human faith and God’s faithful response. From ancient tales of devotion to the glorious light of the New Testament, one truth shines – our God is no distant, indifferent force, but an active, personal being who profoundly rewards those who earnestly seek Him.

Consider, I pray you, the tender story of Ruth. A vulnerable alien, facing immense loss and marginalization, made a radical choice. She deliberately abandoned ancestral gods and cast herself wholly upon the protective care of the God of Israel. Her journey was a profound act of spiritual reorientation, embodying absolute trust. She placed herself under His very wings, not with a fleeting fancy, but with diligent, persistent faith, laboring even in dusty fields. And what followed? Divine recompense! A blessed landowner spoke of God repaying her work, granting a “full wage” for all her losses. Ah, a glimpse of our Lord's own economy!

This very truth echoes down to that glorious epistle to the Hebrews: "Without faith it is impossible to please God, for anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him" (Hebrews 11:6). God, in His perfect justice and unwavering covenant, will not forget your work, your sacrifices, or the love you show toward His name. The "full reward" is not merely temporal comfort, but something infinitely grander: a deeper relationship with our Kinsman-Redeemer, Jesus Christ Himself! Through Him, our fragile refuge under God’s wings transforms into an eternal, secure inheritance. Therefore, cast away doubt! Press on, beloved, in active, diligent faith! For God *is*, and He *proves Himself to be* the unfailing Rewarder of every soul who truly seeks Him.
