But You remain the same, and Your years will never end. — Psalms 102:27
To the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority through Jesus Christ our Lord before all time, and now, and for all eternity. Amen. — Jude 1:25

Charles Spurgeon
Summary: My beloved brethren, though this world is a stage of constant change where all things pass away, our God is the Immutable One who changes not. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever, and in Him, our precious Jesus Christ, all His promises are solid and unfailing. Therefore, let us take heart, for our salvation rests not on our fickle faithfulness, but on His steadfast grip, preserving us faultless.
Do we not often feel the ground beneath our feet to be but shifting sand? This world, with all its pomp and circumstance, is a stage of constant change, a fleeting parade where all things pass away as quickly as a summer cloud. The very heavens above us, those glorious works of His fingers, shall one day roll up like a scroll, and the earth itself shall perish and wear out as a tattered garment. Verily, all created things bear the mark of decay!
But behold, dear friends, our God is not so! He is the Ancient of Days whose years have no end, the Immutable One who changes not. He is not dependent upon any, but is a boundless ocean of goodness and glory, full and complete in Himself, from everlasting to everlasting. What mighty consolation is this! His being, His perfections, His very purposes – they stand eternally unswerving.
And mark this glorious truth, that the same eternal Lord, the Weaver of this vast cosmic tapestry, is none other than our precious Jesus Christ! Yes, the Son, through whom all things were made, is Himself "the same yesterday and today and forever." He is the very radiance of God's glory, unchanging in His power and love.
Therefore, let us take heart! Because He changes not, His promises are as solid as Mount Zion, sure and unfailing. His presence is our constant companion, a lamp unto our feet even when shadows lengthen and the way seems lost. He will never leave us, nor forsake us. Our salvation, dear saints, rests not on our own fickle faithfulness, but on His steadfast grip, preserving us faultless before His glorious presence. Does not this grand, unchanging truth compel our very souls to worship? Let us adore Him, whose dominion is forever, for He is on His throne, and His years shall never end! Amen.
