Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle.
(Psalm 24:8)Saying, Blessed be the King that cometh in the name of the Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest.
(Luke 19:38) My God is a strong God
God is not only strong, but also powerful. Even the weak are invested with the power of the Holy Spirit before God. Paul's strength lay in the power given by the Spirit to sustain him in the face of tribulation and suffering. Christ is strong because in him rest the promises of ultimate redemption of humanity. We are joint heirs with Christ of God's possessions, and divine power coexists in Him, so we can be strong with Him. Let's appropriate Christ, because having Him we are strong. We do not win by our strength, nor is there human power that makes us winners, but Christ. Christ is the King of glory, the strong God who accepts us as we are and does not set conditions for us to come to Him.
