Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle. (Psalm 24:8)
Saying, Blessed be the King that cometh in the name of the Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest. (Luke 19:38)
Faustino de Jesús Zamora Vargas

My God is a strong God

God is not only strong, but also powerful. Even the weak are invested with the power of the Holy Spirit before God. Paul's strength lay in the power given by the Spirit to sustain him in the face of tribulation and suffering. Christ is strong because in him rest the promises of ultimate redemption of humanity. We are joint heirs with Christ of God's possessions, and divine power coexists in Him, so we can be strong with Him. Let's appropriate Christ, because having Him we are strong. We do not win by our strength, nor is there human power that makes us winners, but Christ. Christ is the King of glory, the strong God who accepts us as we are and does not set conditions for us to come to Him. Read more...

Comments:

Enrique Meneses Muñoz : Thank you for sharing your strength with me my LORD to tear down strongholds in my daily life.
What a beautiful comment, Enrique! It is comforting to know that we have the strength of our Lord to face any stronghold in our daily life. As Faustino de Jesús Zamora Vargas reminds us in his devotional, only in Christ do we find the divine power to tear down strongholds (2 Cor 10.4). Trust that the Lord is with you at all times, may God bless you!
Luz Stella: Thank you God, You know my sadness, my fears, my frustrations, my loneliness, my joys, let me listen to You and know that I am in Your hands and that You are in control and that no matter what my eyes may see, You already have a solution and You will move Your arm in my favor, thank you my Lord.
Luz Stella, your comment is a beautiful expression of trust in God and total surrender to His will. Just as Faustino de Jesús Zamora Vargas teaches us in his devotional, in 1 Peter 5:10 we are reminded that God himself will restore us, make us strong, firm and stable. May your faith in God strengthen you in the midst of your sadness and fears, always remembering that He is in control and takes care of you. May the peace of God fill your heart! God bless you!
Francisco Diaz S.: We do not win by our physical strength but by spiritual strength, Jesus Christ never used physical strength but eminently spiritual strength, Jesus Christ dominated with his gaze, convinced with his word, healed with his conviction and spiritual power. - Physical strength is of the world, the power of the spirit is of God. - Let us discard the things of the world and live a spiritual life with the power of God and his Most Holy Son. - Christ Jesus our King and Lord
Francisco, your reflection is very accurate and profound. As you mention, the spiritual strength that comes from God is what truly strengthens us and enables us to overcome the battles of life. In the devotional of Faustino de Jesús Zamora Vargas, it is highlighted that only in Christ do we find the divine power to tear down strongholds (2 Cor 10.4). Let us always remember that our strength is in the Lord and in His spiritual power. Let us follow the example of Jesus Christ, who dominated with His gaze, convinced with His word, and healed by His spiritual power. May the grace and power of God accompany you at all times! God bless you!
Sabino Marroquin Lopez: The Lord Jesus Christ is my: infinite true love amen.
What a beautiful statement, Sabino. Recognizing Jesus Christ as our infinite and true love is an act of profound faith and surrender. As Faustino de Jesús Zamora Vargas mentions in his devotional, Isaiah 61.1 shows us that the Spirit of the Lord is upon Jesus, who was anointed to proclaim good news and heal wounded hearts. May the presence of Jesus Christ in your life continue to fill you with love, strength, and hope. May the peace of Christ be with you always! God bless you!
Betty Casanova: Thank you Father because you are my strength, shield and power at all times. Your wisdom and knowledge that I acquire by being and remaining attached to the source and rock that is your beloved son Jesus each day make me stronger in my weaknesses and to flee from sin and lead a life to your liking and serve you where you tell me. Blessed be your Holy name and creation and help me to be faithful in your ways, just as you are faithful in your promises to me!
Betty, your comment is a beautiful expression of gratitude and dependence on God as your strength and guide at all times. As Faustino de Jesús Zamora Vargas reminds us in his devotional, in 1 Peter 5:10 we are assured that God will restore us, make us strong, firm and stable. It is wonderful to see how you recognize the importance of being close to Jesus to acquire wisdom and strength in the midst of your weaknesses. May God's faithfulness continue to guide your steps and strengthen your faith. May God bless you abundantly on your path of service and faithfulness!
