Imitating Christ - for the love of the world

The Christian should not be surprised if the world hates them, as they are not of the world but have been sent into it to fulfill a mission. When the Bible speaks of the world, it refers to the spiritual forces that operate in individuals to move them away from God's will. The Christian must interact and fight with the weapons of the Spirit. Our citizenship is in heaven, and we have been separated for God by His grace. We must reject the forces opposed to the kingdom of God and yet love people as God loves them. Our challenge is to influence the world with the Word of God and imitate Christ, who promised to be with us always. Read more...

Enrique Meneses Muñoz : This word, my LORD, blesses me and strengthens me.
What a beautiful comment, Enrique! It is wonderful to receive blessings and strength through the Word of the Lord. As Faustino de Jesús Zamora Vargas mentions in his devotional, when we receive the Word of God in our lives and reflect it in our way of living, it is normal to find ourselves in situations where the world rejects us. However, let us remember that we do not belong to this world, but that we have been separated for the glory of God. Let us keep our faith firm and continue to imitate Christ, sharing His love and truth with those around us. God bless you, Enrique!
Ruth Vives.: If the things and affairs of the world are not aligned with the doctrines of the gospel of God, a good Christian must renounce them. God bless you. Amen.
What an insightful reflection, Ruth! As you mention, it is essential for a good Christian to discern between what the world offers and what the doctrines of the gospel teach us. As Faustino de Jesús Zamora Vargas expresses in his devotional, although we are in this world, we are not of it, and we must separate ourselves from everything that goes against the will of God. May the wisdom of the Holy Spirit guide us to make decisions aligned with the Word of God. God bless you, Ruth! Amen.
Yda Urrutia : Amen. Glory to God for being his children. Thanks to the Holy Spirit who always rebukes us and reveals the truth to us. Blessings my brothers in Christ.
Amen, Yda! It is wonderful to glorify God for the privilege of being His children and for the constant guidance of the Holy Spirit in our lives. As Faustino de Jesús Zamora Vargas mentions, the Holy Spirit convicts us and reveals the truth to us to help us separate ourselves from the forces opposed to the kingdom of God. May we continue to be sensitive to His voice and allow Him to lead us in all our ways. May the blessings of the Lord be upon you and all your brothers in Christ, Yda!
Betty Casanova : We must learn with firm maturity that the true citizen of the Kingdom does not belong to this world, therefore self-control has and must be firm on the Rock, which is Christ.
What an apt comment, Betty! It is essential to recognize that as citizens of the Kingdom of God, our identity and belonging are not of this world. As Faustino de Jesús Zamora Vargas mentions, we must be firm in our faith and in Christ, the Rock on which we build our spiritual life. Self-control and maturity in faith will help us to remain firm in the midst of adversity and to live according to the principles of the Kingdom of God. May the strength of Christ be our security at all times. God bless you, Betty!
