Lord, my heart is not haughty, nor mine eyes lofty: neither do I exercise myself in great matters, or in things too high for me. (Psalm 131:1)
Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits. (Romans 12:16)

Preventive restraint

The key to a secure and protected spiritual life is an attitude of complete surrender to God's will. This involves recognizing our limitations and humbling ourselves before Him, like a child trusting their mother. Willful disobedience can lead to painful consequences, but obedience to God's principles can prevent such outcomes. The cost of disobedience is high, but preventive medicine is available through obedience. Solomon's advice to trust in the Lord and acknowledge Him in all our ways is like medicine and food for our bodies and bones. Read more...

Enrique Meneses MuΓ±oz : My desire is to submit to your will my LORD
What a beautiful wish yours, Enrique! Your desire to submit to the will of the Lord reflects that attitude of preventive subjection that Dr. Roberto Miranda's devotional tells us about. As mentioned in Psalm 131:1, it is important to maintain a humble heart and not exalt our own thoughts. Humility and the willingness to obey God at all times bring us closer to His will and provide us with spiritual security and protection. May the Lord strengthen you on your path of surrender to Him!
Alba Fuentes : Glory and honor to our God, may the Lord help us to have the same feeling with one another and not to be wise in our own opinion and to turn away from evil πŸ€—β€οΈπŸ™

Heidy : The study talks about Diana, who was Diana?
Heidy, Diana is mentioned in the devotional as a fictional character used to illustrate the concept of stubborn disobedience and preemptive failure to submit to the will of God. Through Diana's story, we can see how personal decisions can lead us away from the path God has prepared for us. Just as in Psalm 131 we see David's humility and surrender before the Lord, Diana represents the struggle between following our own will or submitting to divine will. I hope this explanation has helped you better understand the message of the devotional. Blessings in your pursuit of subjection and obedience to the will of God! πŸ™
Heidy : Thank you
