And for the majesty that he gave him, all people, nations, and languages, trembled and feared before him: whom he would he slew; and whom he would he kept alive; and whom he would he set up; and whom he would he put down. (Daniel 5:19)
And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant: (Matthew 20:27)

The key to all Christian service

Anyone who seeks power without going through God's formative process is not a true servant of the Lord. The Bible shows us examples of Moses, Paul, and Peter going through suffering and humility before accessing greatness. In Matthew 20, the disciples become angry when James and John ask for positions of power, but Jesus teaches them that Christian service is about extreme humility and serving others. Any ministry that does not reflect this attitude does not deserve to be called a Christ-centered ministry. The true meaning of the word minister is servant, not potentate. Christians should desire to be formed by God and serve others in the same spirit as Christ. Read more...

Julio Saturnino Ardura López : Excellent word, how true it is; Today it is very sad that many believe they are the crepes, abusing and trampling the sheep that the Lord Jesus Christ bought with His Precious Blood. May God have mercy. I am very grateful to God for the privilege of being able to serve my fellow men; example the Lord Jesus Christ left us. Amen God bless you in everything Amen
Brother Julio, thank you for your comment. It is true that today many Christian leaders fall into the temptation of seeking personal glory and abusing their authority over the Lord's sheep. However, as Dr. Roberto Miranda mentions in his devotional, true Christian service must be characterized by humility and the desire to serve others, following the example of Jesus Christ. It is a privilege to be able to serve our fellow human beings and it is important to remember that God calls us to be servants, not potentates. May the Lord bless us and help us reflect his love and humility in our service. Amen.
Enrique Meneses Muñoz : It is an honor to be a servant of the LORD. Hallelujah, amen.
Amen, brother Enrique. It is truly an honor and a privilege to be able to be servants of the Lord. Being called by God to serve in the Kingdom is an unmatched blessing. Let us continue to be faithful in our service, always remembering to reflect the humility and love of Christ in everything we do. May the Lord continue to bless you and use you for his glory. Hallelujah! Amen.
Ylciamendez : That Pastor Roberto left us a beautiful and great legacy as an example of humility because he was a truly servant and wanted to serve God and others not only in our congregation but also to all those who needed it to show his fidelity to Christ by serving everyone in whatever was necessary.
Sister Ylciamendez, thank you for your comment. It is true that Pastor Roberto Miranda left us a beautiful legacy of humility and service. His life was an example of fidelity to Christ and love for others. His desire to serve God and all those in need is an inspiration to us all. Let us follow his example and seek to serve others with humility and love, showing the faithfulness of Christ in our lives. May the Lord help us to follow his example and to be servants at the service of his Kingdom. Blessings.
porfirio: The key is in humility and remembering that he who does not live to serve is not fit to live.
Brother Porfirio, thank you for your comment. You are absolutely right, the key is humility and remembering that our life has a greater purpose which is to serve God and others. As Dr. Roberto Miranda mentions in his devotional, Christian service must be characterized by an attitude of extreme humility and selfless dedication. Only when we live to serve can we fully experience the purpose and satisfaction that God has for us. May the Lord help us to live in humility and to be willing to serve at all times. Blessings.
Francisco Diaz S.: The kings, the potentates, the rich and powerful will lose their greatness with death since their throne is built on the flesh, while the poor, the humble, the sincere in heart will ultimately achieve glory and eternal life.-No Let us build for the body, let us build for the spirit that transcends human life.
Brother Francisco, thank you for your comment. You have great perspective on the greatness and significance of our lives. It is true that kings, potentates, rich and powerful can lose their earthly greatness when death comes, since their power is based on temporal things. But those who are poor in spirit, humble and sincere in heart will transcend and achieve glory and eternal life in Christ. As Dr. Roberto Miranda mentions in his devotional, we must build for the spirit, not just for the body. It is important to remember that our life on this earth is temporary, but our spiritual life is eternal. Therefore, let us focus on living according to the values of the Kingdom of God, serving others and seeking spiritual growth. May the Lord help us live with an eternal perspective, building for the spirit and seeking the life that transcends the earthly. Blessings.
Salvado de las agauas: Our most precious heritage tells us from beginning to end over and over again that if we do not exalt we will be humbled. There is nothing better to serve, serve and serve, that is why we have all been called, go and do good, with humility.
Brother Saved from the waters, thank you for sharing your comment. You are absolutely right to remind us that the Bible teaches us that those who exalt themselves will be humbled. The calling we have as believers is to serve, just as you mention. Dr. Roberto Miranda also highlights in his devotional the importance of humility in our Christian service. When we humble ourselves and put ourselves at the service of others, we are following the example of Christ. He came into this world not to be served, but to serve and give his life for us. Therefore, we must follow their example and look for opportunities to do good and serve others with humility. May the Lord guide and strengthen us in our call to serve, and may we always remember the importance of humility in this service. Blessings.
