And said unto me, Thou art my servant, O Israel, in whom I will be glorified. (Isaiah 49:3)
Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: (Philippians 2:5)
Dr. Roberto Miranda

Jesus assumed the form of a slave even though he was equal to God

The idea of being servants and slaves to God is a fundamental aspect of the Gospel. The apostle Paul always considered himself a servant and slave of the Lord Jesus Christ, emphasizing his complete surrender to God's will. This posture of complete service and subjection to God's will should be the stance of every servant of God, recognizing that ultimately we do nothing except what God allows us to do. Even after doing great things for the Kingdom of God, we should maintain a healthy recognition that we have not done much compared to what God has done for us. The attitude of dispossession and surrender to God's will was exemplified by Jesus Christ himself, who became a slave of God even though he was equal to God. As members of God's family and inner circle of friends, we must also understand that we are ultimately God's servants and slaves. Read more...

Enrique Meneses Muñoz : I thank Jesus for receiving me as his slave.
Hello, Enrique! Thanks for sharing your comment. It is beautiful to see your attitude of gratitude towards Jesus for receiving you as his slave. As Dr. Roberto Miranda mentions in his devotional, the apostle Paul also considered himself a servant of Jesus Christ (Philippians 1:1). This is a call to be completely surrendered to the will of God and to have a humble attitude like that of Jesus, who took on the form of a servant (Philippians 2:5-8). May you continue to grow in your relationship with Him and experience His glory in your life. God bless you!
Xiomara Quintero: There is no higher place than going to the feet of Jesus Christ, that is why humbling ourselves before the Lord is the best thing we can do. It is the way to show our gratitude for his sacrifice on the cross. Glory to the King of Kings.
Hello Xiomara! Thanks for your comment. I agree with you, there is no higher place than going to the feet of Jesus Christ. As you mention, humbling ourselves before the Lord is a way of showing our gratitude for his sacrifice on the cross. It is in that humility and total surrender that we find true adoration and exaltation to the King of Kings. May you continue to seek the presence of Jesus in your life and experience his glory. God bless you!
Francisco Diaz S.: As when one enlists in military life and accepts being subordinate to higher commands, he accepts to comply with the regulations, to be obedient to the extreme, to be loyal and disciplined, he accepts to live under any circumstance that is presented to him, whether good or bad, even up to give your life for the country.- WE ARE SOLDIERS OF CHRIST, NO. WE WILL SURRENDER
Hello Francisco! Thanks for sharing your comment. You use an interesting analogy when comparing our relationship with Christ to military service. Just like in the military, as followers of Jesus, we commit to being obedient, loyal, and disciplined in following his will. The apostle Paul also considered himself a servant of Jesus Christ and urges us to have that same attitude of total dedication (Philippians 1:1). It is beautiful to see your determination not to give up and continue being a soldier of Christ. May you continue to live with passion and devotion to God in all circumstances. God bless you in your walk with Him!
Augustin Luxd, Guatemala: It is all true, we are servants and slaves of the Lord, we kneel before him, to give him forgiveness and good health, just as God loves us and gave his life for us.
Hello Augustin! Thanks for sharing your comment. You are right, as followers of Jesus, we recognize that we are servants and slaves of the Lord. We humble ourselves before Him, seeking His forgiveness, His guidance, and His provision in all areas of our lives. God loves us unconditionally and gave his life for us, showing his great love and sacrifice. Let us continue to approach God with humility and gratitude, trusting in his love and seeking his will at all times. May God bless you abundantly!
