But take diligent heed to do the commandment and the law, which Moses the servant of the LORD charged you, to love the LORD your God, and to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and to cleave unto him, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul. (Joshua 22:5)
But which of you, having a servant plowing or feeding cattle, will say unto him by and by, when he is come from the field, Go and sit down to meat? (Luke 17:7)

You are absolutely right, as we start our day, it is important to greet and recognize our loved ones. And even more important is to seek God first, to recognize that it is because of Him that we exist and that it is He who sustains us in all the circumstances of life. When we give God preference in our lives, putting Him above all else, we experience His care and provision. As Luke 17:7 teaches us, we must serve God with all our heart and with all our soul.
