But take diligent heed to do the commandment and the law, which Moses the servant of the LORD charged you, to love the LORD your God, and to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and to cleave unto him, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul. (Joshua 22:5)
But which of you, having a servant plowing or feeding cattle, will say unto him by and by, when he is come from the field, Go and sit down to meat? (Luke 17:7)

Useless servants we are

The parable of the useless servants in Luke 17:7-10 teaches about the absolute lordship of God and our attitude of total performance and submission to His will. Jesus uses hyperbole to illustrate this deep spiritual principle and contrasts the harsh and demanding attitude of the boss in the parable with the availability of the Heavenly Father to attend to our requests. We are nothing before God's greatness and should have an attitude of humility and recognition of our true state. This is important in our Christian life and in our prayer life before the Lord. Enrique Meneses Muñoz : GOD will answer my prayers, I am very sure of that if I keep his commandments. Hallelujah, amen.
Thanks for your comment, Enrique! It is wonderful to know that God will answer our prayers when we keep his commandments. As the verse in Joshua 22:5 reminds us, we must love the Lord our God, follow his ways, obey his commandments, and draw near to him with all our heart and soul. Our total obedience and surrender to God allows us to experience his love and response to our requests. Hallelujah! May God continue to bless your life and your prayers. Amen.
Francisco Diaz S.: Which of us when we wake up to a new day does not greet our parents, our brothers, our children? How much more should we not seek God first, if it is through Him that we are and it is He who sustains us? Let us give preference to God in our lives above all circumstances, surely all things will go well for us.
Thank you for sharing your reflection, Francisco! You are absolutely right, as we start our day, it is important to greet and recognize our loved ones. And even more important is to seek God first, to recognize that it is because of Him that we exist and that it is He who sustains us in all the circumstances of life. When we give God preference in our lives, putting Him above all else, we experience His care and provision. As Luke 17:7 teaches us, we must serve God with all our heart and with all our soul. When we live in obedience and surrender to Him, we can trust that all things will go well with us. May you continue seeking God and giving Him first place in your life. Blessings!

Thank you for your beautiful comment, Sabino! Truly, the life, passion, death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ is an undeserved gift that brings us salvation. It is wonderful to see how you thank the Lord for the intelligence and wisdom He has given you to develop projects that generate employment and provide sustenance to the most needy families. By providing job opportunities, you are being God's instrument to keep these children away from crime and prevent them from ending up in prison. May the Lord continue to guide you and bless your efforts to bring hope and transformation to these families. Amen.
