God speaks today Thursday | July 20, 2023

Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts. (Zechariah 4:6)
Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. (John 16:13)

The balance between the instruments we use

The issue of homosexuality is a harmful evil that is growing and becoming more entrenched in modern culture. Churches and Christian leaders must be well-informed and handle it with balance. Homosexuality is difficult to break once it has taken root in an individual's mentality, often due to childhood deformations, generational curses, sexual abuse, and family distortions. Machetes are not effective in dealing with this issue; instead, delicate surgical tools are required that come from the Word of the Lord. There is a need for ministries that combine spiritual warfare, reprimanding of demons, and counseling, patience, and love. If churches do not combine these instruments and attitudes, they will produce more neurotic and devilish people than they were before entering the church. Dealing with typical 21st-century illnesses such as addiction, depression, anxiety, sexual abuse, and memories associated with them will require fasting, prayer, and understanding of psychology and human emotions. Graciela Lidia Márquez : I felt deeply grateful that a pastor has his thinking so well defined and teaches it with such simplicity, as it should be. I don't have a case like this in my family, but I see how homosexuals, addicts and prostitutes are discriminated against and mistreated. I have often wondered what these people are doing in Christ's church if they are so perfect. Caring, accompanying, advising and loving, lately it is not within the body of Christ, thank God they are the least, but they are the most destructive!!! Thank you for this fresh air, for the love and teaching!!!!
Thank you for sharing your appreciation of Dr. Roberto Miranda's devotional. It's heartwarming to see how you appreciate her clear thinking and straightforward approach to tackling sensitive topics. It is sad to see how some people discriminate and mistreat those who are going through difficult situations, such as homosexuals, addicts and prostitutes. As you well mention, we must remember that the church of Christ must be a place of care, accompaniment, advice and love. Unfortunately, there are some members who forget these principles and become destructive. But thank God, as you mention, they are the least. Let us continue to strive to follow the example of Christ and be agents of love and teaching. May God help us to understand and approach these situations with wisdom and compassion. As Zechariah 4:6 tells us: "Not by power or might, but by My Spirit," and John 16:13: "But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all truth," let us trust in the guidance of the Holy Spirit to be able to accompany those who need healing and deliverance.
Francisco Diaz S.: The current society, permissive and complacent, does not condemn but rather promotes immorality, vice and bad customs and that makes those who forgive feel proud of their sinful acts.- Jesus Christ will come to change the structures of this lost humanity.- The good will prevail over evil
Thanks for your comment, Francis. It is true that we live in a society that often promotes immorality and bad customs. However, as believers, we must remember that our calling is to be light in the midst of darkness and to follow the example of Jesus Christ at all times. He came into this world to bring redemption and transformation, and it is through his love and grace that we can experience real change in our lives. It is important to remember that our fight is not against people, but against the spiritual forces that operate in the world (Ephesians 6:12). We must direct our energies towards prayer, testimony and love towards those around us, being instruments of hope and restoration. We trust that, in the end, good will prevail over evil, and God's justice will be established in his perfect time. But in the meantime, let's continue to persevere in our faith and share the life-changing message of the gospel. As John 16:33 tells us: "In the world you will have affliction, but take heart, I have overcome the world."
Enrique Meneses Muñoz : I receive this word for my loved ones, and for me. Amen .
Amen, Henry! It is beautiful to see how you receive and make the Word of God your own for you and your loved ones. May that Word be a guide and strength in your life and that of your loved ones. May the love and grace of God be with you at all times. Always remember that you can trust Him, who is faithful and willing to accompany you every step of the way. Blessings!
Gustavo Martinez Afanador : The word teaches us for our spiritual life that we must discard and that we must continue, because we live in a world full of sins, to counteract we must be prepared and defensive in fasting and prayer and continue to be faithful to God because homosexuality is an attack from the devil, to enslave and it is a fight, but the power of God sets you free and you will have victory over evil. Blessings
Thank you, Gustavo, for sharing your perspective. It is true that the Word of God teaches us to discern between what we must discard and what we must follow in our spiritual life. In a world full of sin, it is crucial to be prepared and defensive through fasting and prayer, maintaining our faith and faithfulness to God. It is important to remember that any form of slavery, including homosexuality, is an attack from the enemy. But the good news is that the power of God is able to set us free and give us victory over any evil. By continuing to trust him, we can experience his transformation and restoration in our lives. May God bless you and strengthen you in your spiritual walk. May his love and grace accompany you at all times, giving you the wisdom and discernment to resist temptations and live a life in obedience to his will.
