Growing in faith through the Word

Faith is the connecting thread between God and man. Without faith, there is no connection between them. To please God and receive His rewards, we must believe in Him and His character. Reading and meditating on the Word of God helps to increase our faith. Without faith, we cannot receive the many good things God has for us. So, we must continually expose ourselves to the Word of God to grow in faith and obtain victories in our lives. Read more...

Comments:

Enrique Meneses Muñoz : Maintain my faith, and with it the connection with GOD. I love you and I need LORD in every moment of my life.
Dear Enrique Meneses Muñoz, thank you for your comment. Keeping our faith is really important to keep that connection with God. As Dr. Roberto Miranda's devotional says, faith is the channel of communication between God and the spirit world. It is through our faith that we can draw near to God and receive his blessings. By reading God's Word and meditating on it continually, we are strengthening our faith. As Psalm 119:130 says, "The exposition of your words imparts light; it gives understanding to the simple." The Word of God enlightens us and gives us understanding to continue growing in our faith. Furthermore, as the verse of 1 Peter 1:23 mentions, we have been born again through the word of God that lives and abides. It is through the Word of God that we are transformed and receive eternal life. I encourage you to continue maintaining your faith in God and seeking his presence in every moment of your life. He loves you and is always ready to listen to you. May God bless you and strengthen you in your walk of faith!
Francisco Diaz S.: Faith is like the parachute that man uses when he jumps into the void.- If he jumps and doesn't have a parachute (he doesn't have faith) nothing saves him.- Likewise, if we don't have faith in God we are unprotected.- May this be a day of blessing for my valued friends of the congregation
Dear Francisco Diaz S., thank you for your comment. It is very true what you mention about faith. Faith is like the parachute that protects us when we jump into the void. If we do not have faith in God, we find ourselves unprotected and without that connection with Him that gives us strength and security. As Dr. Roberto Miranda's devotional mentions, without faith it is impossible to please God. It is through faith that we can approach him and receive his blessings. Faith allows us to trust that God is who he says he is, that he rewards those who seek him. In the Bible we find examples of people who exercised great faith in God and were saved. As Hebrews 11:1 says, "Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." By having faith in God, we are trusting in His power and His faithfulness, knowing that He is by our side at all times. May this day be a blessing to you too, and may you continue to strengthen your faith in God. He is our refuge and strength at all times. May God bless you abundantly, and may you always find in Him the protection you need!
Gustavo Martinez Afanador : The faith of the Christian is spiritual and is a fundamental part of life, because without it it is impossible to please God and there cannot be the bond of God with us but we must trust God so that it grows in prayer, reading the word, fasting, vigil and all this makes us stronger. Blessings
Dear Gustavo Martinez Afanador, thank you for sharing your comment. You are absolutely right, the Christian's faith is spiritual and is a fundamental part of our life. As Dr. Roberto Miranda's devotional mentions, without faith it is impossible to please God and establish that important bond between Him and us. It is wonderful that you mention that trusting in God is key for our faith to grow. Trust in God allows us to totally depend on Him and wait on His promises. As you say, prayer, reading the Word, fasting, and vigilance help us strengthen our faith and keep us in connection with God. By reading and meditating on the Word of God, we are nourished spiritually and find the instructions and promises that sustain us in our walk of faith. Prayer allows us to communicate with our heavenly Father and place our burdens and needs on Him. Fasting and vigilance help us to discipline our mind and body, and to be attentive to the voice of God. May God continue to bless you abundantly in your life of faith. May you grow more confident and dependent on Him every day. May your times of prayer, reading and seeking His presence strengthen you and make you stronger in your spiritual journey. Blessings for you too!
