When we sin against God there is always some kind of cost

The story of King David's adultery with Bathsheba illustrates the importance of balancing holiness and grace. When we sin, our conscience, God, and Satan all see it, and there are consequences. God is a just Father and must discipline us when we offend Him, and Satan will accuse us before God. In order to maintain holiness, we must confess our sins and not give room to the devil. In the next meditation, we will explore how God balances grace and mercy in this situation. Read more...

WULFREDO: Holiness and grace, Two doors that we must guard jealously, so as not to lose them because of sin. God helps us to take control of our flesh. amen.
Amen brother Wulfredo! It is true that we must jealously guard our holiness and grace, since they are precious gifts that God has given us and we do not want to lose them because of sin. As Dr. Roberto Miranda mentions in his devotional, when we sin there is always some kind of cost. But thank God, He helps us to take control of our flesh and to stand firm in His way. As the Word says in Galatians 6:7 "Do not be deceived, no one makes fun of God; for everything that man sows, that will also reap." Therefore, it is important that we sow good seeds of holiness and grace in our lives, in order to reap the fruits of blessing that God has prepared for us. God bless you!
Francisco Diaz S.: Dr. Roberto Miranda tells us about how fragile we are in the face of strong temptation and how easily we fall.- We are imperfect and weak.- But he also talks about repentance, forgiveness and restoration.- But... be careful; let us not abuse God's mercy by sinning and continually asking for forgiveness. Let's be honest with God and with our conscience.
Very true Francis! Dr. Roberto Miranda in his devotional shows us a reality about our fragility in the face of temptation and how easily we can fall into it. But it also tells us about the importance of repentance, forgiveness and restoration that God offers us through His grace and mercy. It is also true that we should not abuse God's mercy by continually sinning and asking for forgiveness without true repentance and change of life. It is important to be honest with God and with our conscience, and fight against sin day by day with the help of the Holy Spirit. In 2 Samuel 11:27 we see how David's sin was bad in the eyes of the Lord, but later we see how David repents and seeks God's restoration and forgiveness. We must follow his example and seek God's holiness and grace in our lives, and in case of falling into sin, seek God's restoration and genuine forgiveness. God bless you brother!
María Inés : Blessings, according to every act, whether good or bad, it has its consequence, God cannot be mocked. His word says it, where will I go that your Lord is not here? Where I am there you are, high and deep in Sheol too, we cannot flee from your presence.
Blessings, sister María Inés! What you mention is true, every act we do, whether good or bad, has its consequences. We must keep in mind that God cannot be mocked, and as you mention, His word tells us that we cannot flee from His presence, since He is everywhere, high and deep in Sheol. It is important that we keep in mind that our actions and decisions have an effect on our lives and the lives of others, and that we must be careful in everything we do. In Galatians 6:7 we are reminded that "whatever a man sows, that he will also reap." For this reason, it is important that we plant good things in our lives and in the lives of others, and avoid planting things that can cause us pain and suffering. In short, we must be aware of God's presence in our lives and in everything we do, and always try to do what is pleasing in His eyes. May God bless you sister, and thank you for sharing your reflections with us!
Gustavo Martinez Afanador : Sin brings a condition for the Christian as a misfortune by feeling terrible internal pain, it is only cured by recognizing that it has failed with heartfelt repentance. Satan points us to destroy us before God but God is loving and merciful and forgives us. Do not hide anything because God sees everything, it is easier to recognize what to discipline with love Blessings
That's right, brother Gustavo! Sin brings a painful consequence in the life of the Christian, since it distances us from the presence of God and causes us deep internal pain. However, God in His love and mercy offers us the path of repentance and restoration. It is important to keep in mind that Satan will always single us out to destroy us before God, but as you mention, God is loving and merciful and forgives us when we approach Him with a repentant and humble heart. As Dr. Roberto Miranda says in his devotional, we cannot hide anything from God, He sees all things. Therefore, it is important to be honest and sincere with Him, and to recognize our mistakes and sins in order to receive His forgiveness and restoration in our lives. May God continue to bless you brother, and thank you for sharing your reflections with us.
Alba Fuentes: Glory to God for his word that shows us the right path to avoid anguish and suffering and that the holy spirit move away from us, let us be brave and say no to sin but if we fall let us recognize how David raised it and was restored and from now on Let's do what pleases God.
Hallelujah, Sister Alba! It is true that the Word of God shows us the right way to avoid the anguish and suffering that sin brings to our lives. We must be courageous and say no to sin, but if we do fall, we must follow David's example, acknowledge our mistake, and seek God's restoration and forgiveness. It is important to remember that God is a God of restoration, and that He always offers us a way back to Him. As Dr. Roberto Miranda mentions in his devotional, repentance and forgiveness are key elements in our relationship with God, and we must be willing to receive them and look for them at all times. In short, we must always seek to do what pleases God in our lives, and if we fall into sin, seek restoration and genuine forgiveness from our Heavenly Father. May God bless you sister, and thank you for sharing your reflections with us!
Enrique Meneses Muñoz : Deliver me LORD from sinning against you. Hallelujah.
Amen, brother Enrique. Let that be our constant prayer, that God free us from sinning against Him and help us to live a life according to His will. As Dr. Roberto Miranda mentions in his devotional, it is important to keep in mind that God sees everything we do, and that our actions and decisions have consequences. Therefore, it is important to always seek the help of the Holy Spirit to resist temptation and avoid falling into sin. In short, we must keep in constant communion with God, always seeking to do what is pleasing in His eyes, and asking for His help to remain firm in our faith and avoid falling into temptation.
