What is the reward that motivates you to do what you do?

SUMMARY: In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus addresses his disciples on how they should live in light of the principles of the Kingdom of God. The best reward comes from God, and His rewards come according to what He understands is best for us. When we pray, we should have a moment of intimacy with God, and not use vain repetitions or fillers. Our spiritual practices should have the correct motivations, such as honoring God and bringing glory to His name. We should not get carried away by the greed of our eyes, which can lead to a focus on money and compromise our morale. We cannot serve God and riches, and should seek to make treasures in heaven. The root of all evil is the love of money.

Jesus warns against the dangers of greed that come from the eyes and emphasizes the importance of setting our sights on things in heaven instead of things on earth. He reminds us not to worry about what we will eat or wear because God knows our needs. Living in the light of Jesus' teachings is difficult, but it brings rewards and victories in our lives. We should trust in God and put Him at the center of our existence. The rewards we receive may vary, but God knows what is best for us. We should trust in Him and have faith that He will provide for us. The speaker prays for God's blessings on the audience and encourages them to go forward trusting in Him.

We continue at our crossroads of exploring the Sermon on the Mount, glory to God. In summary form, several of the things that we have been talking about from the beginning, have had more to do with us paying attention to the attitudes that we assume in life, the treatment that we have with other people around us. How we should behave in our relationship with God and in our relationship with the neighbor around us. The Sermon on the Mount was of course being addressed to the people who were assembled but mostly Jesus was speaking it to those who were his disciples, those who were truly following him.


Because this secret, this message communicating what He was referring to, was the principles of the Kingdom of God, principles under which those who decided to follow Jesus had to live in light of those things. So last Wednesday we were sharing about the passage from chapter 25 onwards, we talked about the dynamics of how one should get along with people of the opposite sex and how one has to respect the dynamics of marriage, and the perspective of Jesus. concerning divorce and adultery, and how one has to work on all those areas, one being careful with the things we say and not committing ourselves beyond what we should with our words, if we don't know what we have to say yes to , what has to be said yes is said yes, and what has to be said no is said no, and learn that many times we have to learn to say no so as not to be committing ourselves too much.
