What God thinks of his children

SUMMARY: God is most interested in having an intimate relationship with us. We often focus too much on working for Him and forget that His love is not based on our service. We should believe what God says about us in His Word and not be affected by the opinions of others. The blood of Jesus was sufficient to forgive the sins of those who have offended us. We should focus on God and not ourselves. We cannot do anything to deserve God's love and blessing, as our debts have been paid. We are loved and have a new identity that cannot be taken away from us.

One of the most beautiful teachings of the Bible is the fact that what interests God most in his children is the longing and desire to have an intimate relationship with him. We make a tremendous effort to work for him, to serve him in everything. that we can and do fall into the trap of thinking that His love is directly proportional to the measure of the service we dedicate to Him. God does not need sacrifices from us other than those that flow naturally from our hearts as a consequence of our intimacy with Him. We often overlook what God says about us in His Word and focus more on judgments and opinions than other people. , insanely, they dare to give about what we are. We must believe God and humbly forgive those who offend us with vituperation and bad judgment.

If you read Ephesians 1: 1-10 right now you will find that God affirms that before Him we are chosen, holy, without blemish, loved, adopted, blessed, blameless, redeemed (free), forgiven and accepted. So brethren, why are Christians sometimes dragged down by low self-esteem? Why do false testimonies about us depress us and do we not submit with faith to what the Lord says about ourselves? Let us see then that the blood shed by our Lord Jesus Christ was also sufficient to forgive the sins of those who have offended us, of those who try to anguish us. In daily spiritual warfare, let us remember that our fight is not against flesh and blood, but against the very empire of evil.

When we believe what God says about us we can freely enjoy the precious gift of grace, look forward without fear trusting in the material and spiritual provision of the Lord, our uncertainties and doubts will also be less when things seem not to go well and we will be able to definitely enjoy the Christian life by focusing exclusively on Him and not ourselves. Nothing that people say about us, the way they judge us and see us, will be able to modify what the Lord says and appreciates about his children. So if, as a child of God, you think you have low self-esteem, you are simply thinking contrary to what the Lord thinks of you, you are self-flagellating and denying yourself when the Lord takes you in his portentous hand and will never leave you even when at times the desires of the flesh shake the foundations of faith. One of the most successful tricks that the "prince of lies" has obtained is to make us think that even though we are in Christ, we are vile sinners fighting in an endless race to please him "with our good works" and thus relieve our burden. that produce our stumbling blocks and weaknesses. This is a big lie!

Dear brothers and sisters, we cannot do anything to deserve God's love and blessing, because since we met him, our debts have been paid. He carried our sins on the cross, we are loved and clean with a new identity that nothing and no one can take away from us. Believe what He has said about you, well it would be good if you began to live Christ as a new creature, exclusive design of the Creator, separated for Him by his own will, chosen and to dwell with Him for long days. God bless you!
