Walk by faith and not by sight

SUMMARY: Walking by faith means trusting in God's word and promises, even when we can't see them. Other voices may try to distract us, but we must focus on what God is doing in our lives. We are vessels of God's power, even though we are fragile and breakable. We must not focus on what we see, but on what is unseen and eternal. We must trust in God's plans and believe in his promises, such as the promise of rest. A testimony is shared about a pastor who was ministered to and given deep sleep during a church vigil.

During a church vigil, a woman with a prophetic gift prayed for the troubled pastor and told him he would have a deep sleep. The pastor fell asleep on the altar and snored loudly. The speaker encourages listeners to walk by faith and not by sight, and to trust that God will allow them to rest peacefully.

In this life that we have, what walking by faith implies means us trusting in the word and the promises that God has given us, it implies us putting a level of certainty in something that is not seen and letting it be that someone who guides each of our steps.

Now, it's very interesting because without you knowing it, a lot of other voices will come along and try to direct your steps. Did they realize what happened? I was the one directing his steps and other people with the best intentions wanted to help the person, but they weren't seeing what I was seeing from this side. And those voices start to tell you, no, look, do this, oh look at that, no, you're on the wrong side. But those voices aren't seeing what the main person is seeing in order to direct.
