SUMMARY: The author's husband was diagnosed with cancer and despite their efforts to save him, he passed away. She learned to trust in God's sovereignty and perfect will, even in difficult situations. Her pastor's wise words helped her overcome the pain and see that her husband's soul is now in the presence of the Lord. She encourages others to lean on God's grace and remember that our citizenship is not of this world. She chooses to pray like a bride dressed for her husband, Jesus Christ.

Often we as Christians when we go through difficult situations we want the Lord to answer our prayers that we send them many times a little agitated, wanting his quick intervention; because we do not want to go through any difficult situation and we forget that in the world we will have afflictions: many things that we do not understand, we just have to believe and trust that our God is sovereign and he is in control. And we still do not receive the answer that we hope he hears us.

My husband was diagnosed with cancer at a very advanced stage, we did everything possible to improvise his health. Prayer and faith in the Lord ranked first in all our actions. We seek all kinds of medical help. Despite all our efforts that same year the Lord called him into his presence.
