Jesus Christ is the Creator of all that exists (Part 1)
Dr. Roberto Miranda(Audio: Spanish)
This wonderful passage from Colossians presents us with an incredible expression of the creative character of Jesus Christ. I think that to fully understand this passage we have to remember what Genesis says in chapter 1 verse 1, it says that: "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth."
Notice that and here the apostle Paul is saying that: "In Him were all things created" and in other passages of Scripture he says that: "Jesus created and that in Him all things that exist subsist." So if in the Old Testament it says that God was the one who created all things and in the New Testament it says that Jesus created all things then it is telling us by inevitable logic that Jesus Christ is God Himself. It is one of the mysteries of the Scriptures, the fact that Christ is also assigned that creative role, the role of Creator of the Universe, of everything that exists.
